"Ughhh, okay... I've got this," I grumble under my breath, pacing outside my old bedroom, bouncy music booming from the door. Now it's Jesse's. Could my eyes roll any harder? First he gets my room, next he's going to take my man. It's bullshit.
"Stop whining to yourself, babe," Jake calls me out, a towel over his head as he dries his hair. I let my gaze linger as he dries down his torso, only having boxers on while standing in the hallway, allegedly giving me a small pep talk.
I give him a dirty look after snapping out of the little love spell he has on me. "Could you be hot and delicious elsewhere? I'm trying to make amends," I groan out, annoyed.
He rolls his eyes at me and turns away, walking back down the hall to our room. Yes, our room, I can say that. I don't know how long I've been here, how long I will stay, god I don't know anything, but I know I'm comfortable here. I hope that isn't a bad thing.
*knock, knock, knock*
"Open!" Jesse yells over the music coming from his room. He even sounds like a douchebag, jeez.
I open the door, smoke tumbling out as I find my previous room a complete disaster. "Oh my god..." I whisper, looking around. The curtains ripped to shreds, the mattress thrown onto the floor, a broken lamp, miscellaneous drugs scattered around, a CAT?! "What've you done?!" I exclaim in horror while he's just relaxed on the floor by the window blowing smoke out the screen.
He looks up at me with those stoned red eyes and smiles, "Gave the room some personality."
I clutch my forehead in my hands and sigh through the smokey air. "You're fucking crazy, kid," I mutter, "What makes you think Bix is going to let drugs in his house fly?"
He chuckles, puffing on his blunt, "You call him Bix?"
"I just call him Jacob," Jesse adds, sighing contentedly with an arm perched up behind his head.
"Oh that's it, you little shit!" I grumble, walking up to him and pulling him up to his feet by his shirt. "If you really think I'm going to just stand by and watch you take advantage of my boyfriend, you've got another thing coming."
He pushes me back, making me lose my grip on him, "Hey, c'mon! Chill out, man!"
I huff out in surprise and push him right back, his blunt falling to the carpet with a tss! I press him into the wall and glare down at him, "You know he's only letting you stay here out if some twisted sense of pity and remorse for buying drugs from a minor?!" I groan in disgust and back up, "God, just look at you."
Jesse almost looks hurt, but covers that up quickly with that cocky smile I want to punch so damn bad.
"You mean the same way he only let you stay here all those years ago because he wanted someone to fuck?" He retorts with a laugh, picking his blunt back up and burns it out into the wall, leaving the carpet a dusty and ash filled wasteland.
I choke down my heart and falter, "E-excuse me?"
He hums amusingly, "You heard me."
I hear heavy footsteps nearing down the hall and the door swings open further. "What's going on?" Jacob inquires.
Without a second thought, I swing my fist barreling right into Jesse's jaw. Just like a cat fight or a biker brawl, the two of us jump at each other and tumble to the ground in seconds.
