I was horrified how could the guys in white do such a thing! I shuddered. A halfa. How preposterous! And yet I had seen it with my own eyes.. but even so I couldn't just believe it could I? And so I decided to do a test. Now what would that test be? I wasn't so sure but food and water would probably be a good start. All living things needed it and as far as I knew ghosts wouldn't touch it and so after breakfast I went downstairs with a plate of waffles and a glass of water. I watched as Dante perked up before eying me warily and I once again remembered what Jack had told me. "He was trained to be a weapon Mads, So if you decide to go down there without me just be careful okay?" Which had both surprised and not surprised me since it was the guys in white and well. I guess I could see the appeal of making super soldiers but even so. Mixing ghost and humans at the DNA level was just too far. It shouldn't of worked. I shuddered before walking over. "Dante. I got you breakfast. Would you like some?" The boy merely blinked at me before frowning "What are the odd yellow circles?" I blinked at him before remembering that he was raised in a lab and was probably fed through some kind of tube or something. "It's waffles. You eat it with your mouth. Now can I open this door without you trying to escape?" Dante merely shrugged before backing away from the door and I walked in. "Here." I said while offering him the plate and he took it from me awkwardly and I set the cup down on the floor before walking back out and might I say, watching him eat was quite fascinating he took small bites and really tasted the food before swallowing it and it almost made me feel like I was taking food for granted or at least until he chugged the water like he was a dying man and I had just handed him an oasis. It shocked me honestly. How he could get half of the water on his shirt and not in his mouth and yet he ate the waffles so methodically and fully that there wasn't even a crumb left on the plate. I blinked and then he smiled at me. A real smile. "Thank you miss scientist for the sustenance you have given me. I shall make sure that not another ghost dares to enter you're lab." I couldn't help it I smiled back just a little bit before nodding at him and heading back up the stairs.

I was making lunch when I heard a horrible scream and I raced downstairs just in time to see Phantom ditch through the ceiling and Dante look as smug as a boy could be. "Dante! What happened!"  I shouted as Jack rushed down with the Fenton bazooka and the boy quickly explained "I saw Phantom again and since you have yet to give me a button I was forced to scream the alarm." I face palmed and Jack frowned "How often does Phantom come to our house? What is this twice in two days? What is he up to?" I snorted before answering him "Probably trying to steal our equipment. Though I really can't stand this whole scream and howl thing." I admitted before closing the portal and Dante tilted his head "If you could close it why did you have it open?" I was quiet for a moment and behind me Jack shrugged "We don't open it. Honestly we don't know how it always ends up like that." Dante seemed interested and then he suggested "Think it's Phantom? I mean he is smart." My eyes widened and then I turned to Jack. "Think he's hacking our security?" I watched as his eyes narrowed and then he headed to our computer while I went to make the button for Dante.

Dante was oddly quiet until it hit 6:00 and the brightest white ring I've ever seen suddenly emanated from his waist and lit up the whole room before he was suddenly a wolf again which was when Danny came downstairs with the.. thermos? And oh my god did Dante go wild. My eyes widened as he lunged against the glass and his eyes seemed to change from the shy yet oddly confident boy I had seen in the containment unit into a full blown killer and Danny froze his eyes widening and then he ran. I didn't blame him and then Jack turned on his translator. "TRESPASSER ALERT! TRESPASSER ALERT!" Jack immediately face palmed "Crap! I forgot to show him a picture of the kids so he wouldn't freak out." I was flabbergasted yet again but I guess it made since. "Dante! It's just our son! Calm down!" I shouted at him and he immediately sat down. "But.. He was a trespasser? Scientist don't wear those kinds of clothes." I almost wanted to go to the GIW and smack everyone there but I unfortunately couldn't since that would risk outting Jack as the canine thief. I groaned before massaging my temples and then Jack showed his picture of Danny and Jazz to Dante and I watched as the great big wolf tilted his head curiously "Trespassers?" Jack shook his head quickly "No. Our kids. You know what kids are." The wolf nodded "Your.. Experiments then?" I finally snapped. "Jack! This is unacceptable! He knows nothing!" Jack stared at me in shock so I elaborated. "If we're going to keep him we have to teach him. Honestly. No wonder the GIW thought he was a failure. They fully trained him to be some kind of watch mutt and nothing more!" Jack nodded thoughtfully and then he turned to Dante. "Dante. Listen. Your not a guard against humans anymore so. No more of this trespasser stuff unless you see a ghost come down here okay?" Dante looked thoughtful before nodding. "Okay. Then what do you want me to do when normal humans come down here?" I huffed "Just. Go invisible and watch them. Tell us what they do when we come back down." Dante nodded at this and then Jazz came down the stairs looking very nervous. I watched Dante and he stared at her suspiciously but didn't turn into the snarling monster that would of taken Danny's head off if there wasn't a containment unit stopping him. I sighed in relief before turning to Jazz with a smile. "Why don't you go back upstairs honey?" I saw her eyes flicker briefely between the wolf and the door before she shook her head and came the rest of the way down. "No. I'm uhh interested. So what do you have here?" Jack not noticing her shifty gaze immediately beamed "OH! THIS IS DANTE! HE'S!" I immediately shut his mouth with my hands before he could blurt the word Halfa since I did not need Jazz trying to psycho analyze Dante before he was.. Not as aggressive. Jazz frowned before turning to Dante herself and the wolf bared his teeth and I glared at him and he stopped. I sighed before Jazz suddenly groaned "Okay! I know you two are hiding something! What's up with the wolf? Shouldn't you be dissecting it or ripping it molecule by molecule or something!?" I stared at her in shock and then Jack blurted "Jazzy! No! Dante.. He's not like other ghosts. The GIW made him." I watched as Jazz's face changed from confusion to shock. "The GIW MADE a ghost?" I finally gave in at this point but before I could explain Dante suddenly snapped "I'M NOT JUST A GHOST! I AM A HALF GHOST! I'M MUCH BETTER THAN THOSE ECTOPLASMIC PIECES OF SCUM!" He snapped before trying to lunge at Jazz and Jack through the glass. "SO DON'T YOU EVER COMPARE ME TO THEM! DO YOU HEAR ME!" I was shocked and Jazz looked even more so and then she ran up the stairs before I could ask what was wrong I mean honestly Dante should of made her light up like it was her field day and then Dante went into a corner and sat down. "I'm not scum." He whimpered before laying down. Jack just shook his head and then it suddenly occurred to me. "Jack.. Has he done that before?" Jack nodded and then he pulled up his sleeve to show me a gnarly bite scar. "He was three years old when he did that but at the time I deserved it. I called him scum and he kinda hasn't forgiven me since. Apparently ghosts never forget." I was horrified and then Jack went on "But. Please don't let that change your perception of him Mads! He.. he deserves a chance. I swear underneath all of that shell is a kind hearted boy. I mean he only ever bit me once." I didn't answer to that before walking upstairs where I ran into Danny who stared at me curiously before continuing on his way to the bathroom and I ignored him as I went to me and Jack's room. I desperately needed some time to think.

Jack was insane I decided and there was no possible way that I was keeping a crazed killer underneath my roof and so I went downstairs with my trusty ecto pistol as I decided to do us all a favor and finish what the GIW started but then.. I saw him sleeping. He was in the fetal position and as close to the door as he could get. There was no way to open it without waking him and then I heard a disappointed voice behind me. "Mom. Please don't tell me your going to do what I think your going to do." I turned around to see a tired looking Jazz and I frowned "We can't keep him and if the we let him go he is liable to go back to the GIW and the last thing we need is for the GIW to get their hands back on him. Who knows what they could learn from dissecting him? Therefore we have to put him down. He's too dangerous Jazz." I tried to argue and Jazz just shook her head. "Mom. Do you even hear yourself right now? I mean he's human too you know." I bit my lip hesitantly but I stood my ground. "He's dangerous." Jazz just glared "And? He's already in doggy jail. He can't get us." I didn't answer and she suddenly groaned "Okay fine! What if I went down there and talked to him?" I actually laughed. "Jazz! Honey. He's feral. You can't help him. He's half ghost." I watched as her eyes blazed before she stormed past me and I let her. I could of stopped her but.. Well she had a point. He was human too and I almost murdered him in cold blood. I trembled before going back to bed. I was a horrible person.
