1. Someone New

Y/N POV

"HE'S BLEEDING!! WHAT DID YOU DO!
YOU DID THIS TO HIM! WHY! TELL ME WHYYYY!". I couldn't see straight anymore the person in my arms covered in blood, his skin is turning cold. He's dead.. he's dead and the person I trusted most just killed him. I didn't want any of this to happen it's my fault. I let one person in.. ONE PERSON.. and now I have to live with this guilt my whole life, if only I had never went out that night. If only...

*Present Time*

*beep* *beep* *beep*

That damn alarm.
I try to ignore the blasting sounds in my ears as I try to get a little more rest.

*sighs* I drag my arm around to find the snooze button on my alarm, it's no use I'm too tired for this shit so I let the alarm ring even if it pains me. Eventually, I get up to turn it off and start the day, just a plain average ordinary life that's what I like to call it. I head to the bathroom to take a refreshing shower and brush my teeth. After, I went to the kitchen to make some breakfast and pack my lunch for the day. I usually work all day and sleep all night or stay at home, I rarely go out and if I do it's because my friends forced me out. That's how it goes usually..

Later that day around 7pm

It was a busy day at work finally got to my average looking apartment. I took a shower and sat down on my bed, looking at the clock wondering, "I guess it wouldn't hurt to celebrate my birthday with a drink after all I am turning 21." I put on some black jeans, a black tank top and my leather jacket. I comb my (h/l), (h/c) and for some finishing touches I did some light makeup.

I walk out and I decided to go walking since the bar is only 10 minutes on foot. I walk the streets of Konoha, it's a beautiful night the stars are out, the cool breeze hitting my face. I usually feel very peaceful at nighttime.

*buzz*
"That's probably Jojo telling me to live a little" I laughed. I opened the message:

JOJO

"Happy Birthday sorry I'm late I was busy earlier wanna go out for you first legal drink? 😂"

ME

"1 step ahead🙄 I'm going the night bar near my house the one called Yoru Ni"

JOJO

"Okay I'll meet you there in 20 be safe loser!"

I place my phone in the left pocket of my jeans. Jojo and I have been friends since middle school he's always been there for me and I appreciated him for that. Sometimes I tend to push him away and he knows that, he knows that I'm mentally broken after everything I've been through in the past it's hard to let someone in or trust a person. At one point I even started losing trust in Jojo, he never did anything but you never know someone's true intentions even those close to you can change at any moment.

I finally got the the bar, it was calm and quiet which is surprising knowing this is one of the most busiest night bars in all of Konoha. I walked to the seat and sat waiting for the bartender to notice me. He turned around and I saw his face, he was quite handsome. Black long hair into a low ponytail, onyx colored eyes and a gentle smile on his face.

"Whiskey on the rocks please." I asked looking at him.

"Sure thing gem." He said with a light smile.

I blushed a bit at his words and I immediately try to distract myself looking away. I always get so awkward when a cute guy tries to flirt or give a compliment but I tried to brush it off before I overthink about it.

I looked up at the TV and saw there was breaking news right now.

"Two men shot dead in an alleyway near the Yoru Ni Night Bar. Police are investigating the situation as we speak. So far there were no witnesses and no suspects so far on who did it."

I looked away from the TV to see the bartender walking towards me with my drink. "Whiskey on the rocks?", he placed the glass in front of me. "Thank you." I grabbed it as I was about to drink I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see Jojo with a small cupcake in his hand, "Happy Birthday loser", he chuckled.

I rolled my eyes, "Thanks best birthday I guess", I tried to say it in the most sarcastic way I could. He sat next to me and the bartender came back to take his order and left.

"Well you look nice today (y/n) how does it feel to finally be 21".

"It feels like ass it's just another day honestly." I sipped on my drink.

"Aww cheer up don't get so gloomy the fun is barely getting started."

"Oh no no if your gonna pull one of your 'let's go out to a club and have fun meet people' I would rather not.", giving him a serious look.

"Okay okay then I can drop you off at your apartment if you want then."

"Sure that's fine."

We had a good conversation ordering a few more drinks enough to feel tipsy. The handsome bartender came back as we got up I told Jojo that I would pay and to get the car started. "Drinks are on me gem", he said with a smirk. "Are you sure? I can pay you don't have to." I said.

"Consider it a birthday gift, all I would like in return in your name."

"(Y/n)"

"May I know the name of the man who decided to pay for my drinks." I said without trying to blush.

"Itachi."

"Well thank you Itachi." I started to walk away, I could feel him staring at me. I smiled it's been a long time since I kinda felt flustered over a guy who decided to be nice and even paid for the drinks. I had a feeling I would be seeing more of him again.
