Shravan walked into Sumo's room, a complete mess. Tears were threatening to fall from his eyes and the words to the doctor were haunting his soul.

But if a little bit of his heart was still intact after the doctor's words, his heart complete shattered when he saw Sumo.

She was lying in the hospital bed with her eyes wide open. Tears were streaming from her eyes at a constant pace and the smile that usually lived on her lips was no where to be seen. Her eyes looks lifeless. As if someone has sucked her soul out of her, only leaving her empty body behind.

The family members were gathered around her bed, trying to get her to talk, to say a word, to make a move. Tears streaming from there eyes as well. But nothing happened. After a couple of minutes Sumo would whip her face off with her hands, but that was about it. The tears didn't stop and the pain was never ending.

Nanu: (crying) Suman. My baby Suman? Please say something?

Preeti: (sobbing) Suman Di? Di please say something?

Ramnath: Suman every is going to be fine.

Pushkar: (trying to be strong) Sumo?! You're my wrestler right?! My strong girl?! Won't you talk to me?!

Nanu: Suman, won't you talk to you favorite person? Your Nanu?!

Sumo said nothing. She made absolutely no movement. It was as if she was somewhere alone and the people around her were invisible to her.

Shravan slowly walked up to her bed, tears now coming from his eyes too. Pushkar noticed Shravan's presences and pushed him forward, in front of Sumo.

Shravan: (desperately) Sumo?

With that one word, Sumo turned her head to meet Shravan's eyes. Shravan felt a brief moment of happiness knowing that she responded to him. But his happiness was short lived. He felt the blood drain from his body as he saw the girl in front of him. The same girl her fell in love with.

She was broken.

Shravan: (kneeling down by her) Sumo? Sumo stop crying.

No matter how much Shravan tried to get her to stop, he simply couldn't. Sobs were shaking through her whole body as she hugged Shravan and poured her heart out. The girl that wouldn't sit down for even a minute was unable to move her legs. Shravan felt the tears prick out of his own eyes.

Shravan: (rubbing her back) Sumo.....Shhhhh.....Sumo please stop crying......Sumo please. Your health will get even worse if you cry like this!

Sumo: (sobbing) Shravan!!! Tell me it's a lie!! Say it Shravan! Tell me this is a joke! Please Shravan!!!

Shravan's heart broke. He was the same man who would be willing to do absolutely anything for her, but right now, he couldn't. How much he wanted to tell her that yes, it is a bloody joke, but he knew better than that. Lying wouldn't solve any of the problems. Though he didn't want to accept it, he had to. For her.

Shravan: (rubbing her back) Shhh........Sumo, everything is going to be ok! I'm here with you ok! Shhhhh...Stop crying now Sumo.....

After a couple of minutes, the sobs that were raking through her body slowed down. Sumo was still hugging Shravan as he sat besides her on her bad. Though it was the most uncomfortable position in the world, he could care less. He continued to rub her back and hold her tightly while she calmed down. The rest of the family took a breath of relief seeing Sumo display her emotions instead of keeping everything inside.

Even Ramnath was happy that Suman had regained conscious. Although everyone was shaken up with the fact that Sumo had been paralyzed from waist down, they couldn't be more thankful to know that at least she was alive. Ramnath regretted so much the consequences of his actions. He had never intended on hurting Sumo physically and though it was indirect, Sumo's paralysis was his fault. And seeing the pain in Shravan's eyes only made his heart feel more heavy. For the first time he felt like a burden. A burden that had ruined his son's life.
