"Okay so let's rewind that now that you're back, what did you wanted to tell us?" Bruce Banner asked.
"It's more of a bunch of hints, because I can't tell you anything explicitly. Nat, watch out for Clint." Natasha picked her phone and left the room. "Thor, don't worry you will beat Thanos, don't go for the head, go for the hand." He nodded at her. "And don't get fat, you're too beautiful for that." She said in a serious tone, making him go read in the face, and from the other side of the room a pair of eyes glanced her way. "Doctor Banner, you should have a conversation with your other half. Hulk if you're there and can hear me, we love you, you are strong enough." She took a breath. "The rest of you, we have to care for the world, it's going to be a chaos everywhere, spread the news to Okoye, we have to stick together."
"I'm moving out today." Tony blurted out, not looking anyone in the eyes.
"Are you serious? After all that speech?" Rocket said.
"Hey, it's okay. I didn't mean literally. All of you have tech, use it. You, Nebula and Denvers should get back to space, the other planets are going through the same thing Earth is, and they don't have the Avengers there to help." Paige said. "Thor, go back to your people, help Valkyrie. And Tony, I expect an invitation to your new house soon." He laughed at her.
"You know, you would make a great leader." Steve said.
"No thanks, I leave this role to you." She said to him. "And Cap, do what you do best, help people, just don't forget to help yourself first." She continued. "Now if you don't mind, I'm going to take a shower."
One moving truck appeared by the compound in the afternoon taking all of Tony's important stuff away to go to his new house.
"I'm following the truck to my house now, FRIDAY will stay logged in here for you guys, if you need anything ask her, please don't bother me." He said to everyone. "Paige, come with me for a minute."
The two of them went outside in front of one of Tony's cars.
"If you need anything don't hesitate to call me. I'll pass my new address to your phone, you can come by any time." He said to her. "Let me tell you something, I have no idea why, but I feel like I know you for years and yet, I just met you few weeks ago." He told her, getting closer.
"Well, I can tell you I know you for more than 10 years. So be careful, because I know all your secrets." Paige said, teasing him in a low voice.
"That's not fair, because I know nothing about you." Tony told her. "Maybe we should change that."
"Maybe we should." She said taking a step closer to him. From the truck came a loud honk, making the two of them jump apart. "I think you should get going, enjoy your new home."
"They should not be rushing me, I'm the one paying them." He said joking. Looking at him Paige could feel how nervous he was about leaving.
"Hey Tony, relax." She said holding his hands, which were sweating. "Take a deep breath, go to your house and watch something on the TV. I'm unofficially retiring you." She told him. Inhaling the air, he looked her in the eyes. "Now exhale." And he did.
"Okay, I'm good now, thank you." He said a little embarrassed.
"Tony, just like you said, if you need anything I'm just one call away, and you know where to find me." She tranquilized him. "Now you should go, cause if you stay here our phones will not be useful." He looked at her and to his car.
"Yeah, I think you're right." He looked like he didn't know what to do next, so she stepped forward and gave him a hug, he was a little stiff first, but soon relaxed in her arms.
"Bye Tony." She said as he entered in car and drove away to the highway.
Paige went back inside to be met with two pairs of eyes looking at her. Steve and Natasha gave her questioning looks.
"What was that with Stark outside?" Nat asked.
"It was nothing, I was just being a friend, he needed one at this moment." She told them. "I don't know if you guys know this, but Tony was really alone after the fight you had, at the end everyone was on your side Cap, not trying to blame you. When I watched the movie, I was on your side too, but only about the accords. Maybe if you two had put the pride aside and didn't had the fight, you might had already defeated Thanos, but who knows? It's just a fan theory." She said to Steve. "Making amends it's important Steve, don't let this next five years go to waste, and never refuse an invite for lunch." She told him vaguely. "I'm going to my room if you need me."
