19. The Weirdness

MAYA

He walked me towards my room, silently, with his hand in his pockets, and head on the ground. I didn't say anything, but he is been following me, since I started leaving the roof top.

NO words said by any, he just said about his dinner date, when I  pretended that I didn't hear him, and told that I am leaving for my room to finish my work.

"I," He hesitated suddenly,

What is this? Is he the same guy who I met earlier? On the roof top, and before? He is not like the type who thinks and hesitates.

"I got you a dress, in case you didn't prepare for a party wear. It's in my room, not that we are near yours, will you wait till I bring it to you?" He asked me, surprising me.

My heart was pounding hard in my chest. I kept trying to keep it down. But it felt as if it will cut my chest out.

"Why would you get me a dress?" I inquired him, "Don't you already know the reason?" He asked me, again playful. Yes, now it feels it Mr. Creep.

We halted near my door, I asked him when he was just silent again. He was looking left and right, again and again.

"Are you worried someone will see us?" I asked him, over his strangeness, when he shaked his head. "No, no, I just am worried that if Ritvik will see us together again. He will give you hard time." He made a reasonable excuse.

"Let me get you the dress,"

"I am not coming to the party," I immediately said no, before he could turn, his face turned to look at me, he was looking dull about the fact that I wasn't going.

"Fine, I won't force you. In case, you made your mind on attending, always know that I will be at the side of party, where no one will be. Because I hate interrecting with people."He informed me, when I laughed.

What is wrong with me? Why am suddenly soft with him? The aura between us changed, out of blue?

Why is my heart acting up? Do I have blood pressure issues?

"No! I am not going any lonely place with you. I don't want my right leg to be washed with your puke," I taunted him. When he got embarrassed, and turned look at the other side.

"Yeah, laugh. As much you want. Ms. Phone, Creep!" He used his arrow. And we both started chucking.

Weird. I am suppose to hate this. Right?

I turned to open the door with the key, and walked inside when he too turned to walk the other side.

" What the hell?? MAYA!! " I screamed on myself, over the mirror I first saw when I walked inside the hotel room.

It was not! "MAYA!" I screamed again. And started walk in the whole hotel room.

Today was not hectic. But it was making me more anxious, then when I found out about the stalker.

"Oh my!" I screamed and stood.

21 missed calls from Shaan. And bunch of messages,

He was practically worried the way he was asking questions. I Dialled at his name and called, when he picked in first ring, "Were you dying?" was the first question he asked, screaming at my ears that I had to distant my phone from my ears.

"What?" I asked him.

"Why were you picking up then?" He scolded me. When I sighed. "I was surveying the sights. It was in bag. And much more craps."I replied him, when he rested too.

" You are with two guys Maya, don't you feel responsible enough to at least tell me that you arrived? Was one text with two letters so hard??" He asked me from the other side. When I sat on my bed.

" I am sorry, why are you worried. Ritvik sir is not that type of guy. " I assured him,

" What about the other one then? "He asked me.

Well, I know what to say on that? I am totally unaware. And currently, I think my heart is beating up for a creep.

" Umm, he is a billionaire. So assume. "I lied, trying to make him rest a little.

When he was silent on the other side.

" Okay, what are you doing at evening now?  I'm sure you are not surveying at evening? " He asked me when I hummed him,

" Okay, rest up. Interns gets overworked all the time." He is experienced in this case.

He cut the call greeting byes, and ended up. The sky outside was already dark. I can slowly hear the music playing down.

Hm, again my phone rang when I looked at the caller ID. It was Viraj Bhaiya.

I picked it immediately.

"I heard you are out of town? Your sister-in-law told me?" he asked, no hellos. That's tacky for siblings.

"Yeah, I am, out."

"Okay, everything good?" He asked me, when I hummed him too.

"Okay, if any problem appear, I am always here, you know that don't you? I might not be Ranvijay, but I am still your brother." He asked me and told me. When I chuckled and asked him to rest assure. And that I am doing good.

He cut the call after bidding farewell too. When I kept the phone down. Before I could completely rest it.
