Noone's POV
NightFlower watched over the battlefield, taking in the silence. The morning sun was barely peeking over the horizon and she had finished her part in by watching them all have fun. These men fought for forty long years. It was time for someone to win. And for a new team to take their place. She turned your head as a trumpet blared and smiled solemnly as she watched the Red Soldier march out. He paused when he finally noticed NightFlower's presence and saluted to her. She saluted back with her talons back with a gentle. "At ease, Soldier."
NightFlower turned back to the horizon, watching the sunrise her scales reflecting with the light and wind going in her face.
Soldier watched her, how the light haloed around is her figure. "I have a question!" He shouted, pointing his finger dramatically at the rainwing/hybrid.
She laughed softly but didn’t turn her gaze from the sunrise. "You may ask your question, Soldier."
"Why are you here?" She laughed again but intertwined her tail behind the soldier.
The rest of the team filed out to complain about the Soldier's shouting but stopped when they saw her sitting there. They paused everything they were doing when they heard her speak, with a tone she never used in front of them. It was bittersweet on their tongues but unable to stop NightFlower.
"This is the place where I wish all of you all the best." She turned to face them wings twitching as she turned around to face the team, a sad smile gracing on her features. "I’ve made amends with myself, and I’m feeling okay." She approached the Soldier and pulled him up in her talons then hugging him closer to her chest.
“This is the end..”
She received the hug back from the soldier, then from Scout and Demo added on top. Then the Engineer, and then the Heavy. Soon enough, everyone, one by one, joined the hug then she pulled them all closer using her wings by hugging them. Despite the lack of tears in her own eyes, her heart sank and cracked within her chest. She held on tighter before releasing herself from their hold. She gave them all one last smile before leaving and flying off the base’s premises.
She watched on beside her sibling and the teams realized that they were no longer respawning and the realization dawning on the red team which lessened their fighting spirit. She watched on as they all died like flies, one by one. Her talons tightened on each other as the battle finally ended. Miss pauling would be the one who is able to collect their bodies but she and her sibling would have to leave the place when they all died.
"You shouldn’t have crash in the base for so long," The Administrator's words rang in her head.
She gritted her teeth.
"I know.."
