Chapter 7

(Sorry for the very-very late update, I will upload back-to-back chapters to make up for the weeks i've been absent . ONLY THE WEEKS I'VE MISSED xc ;-; but some of the chapters will be kinda short...but to compensate I will post drawings  cx stay beautiful.)

Previously:

"Orihime, please answer me!" He shakes her, by her shoulders, just a little and she slowly looks up at him. "W-what happened?" "You went into shock.... your breathing was very slow and your heart beats were fading, you were not taking in the air so I gave you the kiss of life... it really scared me..." She took in the sight before her; Ichigo was holding her in his arms, his eyes were filled with worry, his brow was thinly layered with sweat, and the moon made him glow, bringing out his manly, handsome features. "Orihime? Are you ok now?"

Orihime was so busy admiring him that she didn't even hear Ichigo's soothing voice. "S-sorry Ichi..." she blushes in embarrassment and looks away. Ichigo smiles and gently holds her chin with his fingers and turns her head to him. "Orihime, I...." as Ichigo trails off, he frowns. "Never mind..." Orihime looks at him confused, 'what was he gonna say?? Does...does he like me?'

Orihime's confused look transformed into a hopeful glance, "Ichigo, what were you going to say? Did I do something wrong?... I'm sorry." Orihime tries to stand up but to no avail, Ichigo holds her down. "No, no, no Orihime its not you! You've done nothing wrong!! Just lay down and sleep. So much has happened to you, your body is exhausted. You are lucky to even be awake. So relax, my dad will care for you while I'm gone, ok? I need to leave for school soon."

"NO! Ichigo I want to go to school too!" He smiles at her outburst and places his palm on her forehead. "Don't be silly, my dad said you need to stay and rest. I'll be back soon, I'll also bring your missed work." Orihime turned her head away from Ichigo and quietly spoke, "....I don't want you to leave me.... I want you to stay here....with me..."

She began to mentally face palm herself  'Did I really just say that??! He needs to go to school, he has already missed so many days because of me. He tells me that I'm not a burden but...' she sighs not wanting to finish her ownstatement. "Ichigo, just-just forget what I said. You should-" "No. I want to stay by your side." She couldn't speak, she opened her mouth but no words would form. She was speechless. Ichigo laughed at her reaction.

After a while, Orihime falls back to reality and starts waving her hands frantically. "B-but Ichigo, you are going to fall so far behind! I shouldn't have said anything..." Her head began to drift downward. Ichigo places his pointer finger under her chin, his thumb directly on her chin, and cups her cheek with the remaining fingers.(A/N~if that makes sense) He slowly lifts her face and stares into the beauty of her gray eyes that shimmer with such brightness, that makes even Ichigo's knees shake.

"Orihime...." He begins to lean in as if he was going to kiss her but as he inches his way, closer and closer, his dad rushes in and Ichigo quickly releases her and whispers a soft "Sorry..."
