I was deeply thinking of how will I start,

Creating a poem for you right from the heart.

A phrase or a thought that rhymes a thing or two.

Yet, I came up with "PAPA, HOW I DEARLY MISS YOU.."

Your jokes and our laughter still echo in my ears.

But the opposite of my emotions is hardly in tears.

How I prayed so hard to see you, even for a night,

I'll make sure to make the most out of it, hugging you tight.

You said we'd travel, we'd go far and wide.

Along with Mama and JM with you by our side.

Yet, you took your journey, earlier than I thought.

Been waiting and hanging, since it's you that we sought.

I still have your video, would you like to see?

How about our wacky pictures that are so precious to me.

We've reminisced your stories and been laughing so hard.

I even created a poem for you, hand-written on a card.

I've watched your video a million times.

And I can come up with a few words that actually rhymes.

This poem is supposed to be happy, filled with glee.

Yet again, your daughter is emotional, Papa I'm sorry.

I will fulfill the promise that we had together.

To be able to graduate and make our lives a lot better.

Your simplicity with words will sink in my heart & mind.

Our memories to cherish will always be one of a kind.

I promise to be the daughter you'd always want me to be.

Just keep us safe and be happy just as you've promised me.

Please always remember these words that are sincerely true.

I've been more than blessed to have you as a father.

DEAR GOD THANK YOU.
