The hole is pitch black and seems to go on forever, I can't tell which way I'm falling. I feel around for something to grab onto, my hands find what feels like...a lamp? I pull the string and click it on. It illuminates the entire hole. I find myself surrounded by furniture and dishes. "Curious..." I mutter to myself. I land in a chair and a teacup falls into my hands but before I can take a sip the chair tips over and I let go of the teacup and continue to fall. When I finally hit solid ground I stop to catch my breath, I notice something rather peculiar though, my hair is sticking straight up! All at once it feels like the room has tilted and I fall off the ceiling and onto the floor. As I regain my senses and look around I see that both the floor and the ceiling are made of mirrored glass giving the illusion that up is down and down is up. "You shouldn't have come here mademoiselle." A velvety voice says. The sound appears to be coming from all directions.
"Who are you? Who's there?"
"Don't you know? You were the one who decided to follow me and break into my home."
"I- I didn't- well... I-" I find myself at a loss for words and the voice walks into the room. It's a man, tall and thin, very pale like snow, he wears black pants and shoes, a button up shirt and a waistcoat. A pocket watch sits in his gloved hand. His face though, is definitely not one of a man, he wiggles his nose and twitches his left ear.
"You know it's quite rude to stare... haven't you ever seen a rabbit before?" He asks a note of annoyance in his voice.
"Well, certainly not one that looks like a man..." I reply he narrows his eyes and lets out a sigh.
"C'mon mademoiselle, we're going to be late." He tells me and walks off in the direction he came from. I follow him quickly, not wanting to be left alone in the mirrored room, as I follow him I look around the house and notice a lot of different sized doors, some open, some closed. The house also has many hallways. We enter a room that has nothing but doors and a glass table in the center. As I look at the rabbit to question him about the room I find that he has disappeared. I am alone again without a clue as to what I am supposed to do. Dejectedly, I sigh and look at the table, there is a key on it along with a bottle that says 'drink me'. I pick up the key and walk around the room trying to open the doors. None of them budge. I set the key down and look for another solution. I turn to the table once more and pick up the bottle. I uncork it and smell it's contents. It has a strange but pleasant aroma, I shrug and take a sip. I find myself falling again. No- not falling... shrinking. I'm the size of a mouse when I stop shrinking. Everything around me looks enormous! Except for the tiny door I hadn't noticed before. I walk towards it and find it locked. Of course it's locked. I realize that the key is still on the table and to get it I'll have to climb up there. As I attempt to scale the leg of the table I realize that the key appears much too big to fit in the tiny door. I decide to look for another key, as I do, I find a cake that says 'eat me' and I'll admit it did look pretty tasty. I hadn't noticed how hungry I was. I figured that a snack break couldn't hurt so I took a bite of the cake. I felt myself grow and grow and grow. By the time I stopped I was the size of the room itself! "No! This is no good either! How am I to fit through the door now?" I felt frustrated tears welling up in my eyes and began to cry. I cried so much my tears became something of a river. I became reduced to sniffles and looked around the room. "Now look what you've done." I scolded myself. "You've flooded the whole room!" I spotted the bottle still sitting on the table and remembered that it could shrink me. I grabbed it quickly and drank the rest of it's contents. I shrunk even smaller than before and fell onto the plate that the cake had been sitting on. I floated towards the little door which had broken opened while I grew. The river of tears let out into a lake in the middle of a beautiful garden. I made my way to shore and wandered around the garden. "Who are you?" I heard a voice say from nearby.
