Happy Friday! Almost forgot to post this for you all!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Friday morning, 2071
"Mum, hurry up would you?"
Her mother trailed behind her.
"I'm taking in the family castle!"
Adelina groaned and took her mother's arm, dragging her inside. Inside stood her father, Abel.
"My girls!" He said with open arms. Zina wrapped her arms around her husband.
"Welcome to castle L/N! First guests of the day! But are you really guests?"
Adelina admired her surroundings.
"Adelina was up at the crack of dawn this morning, I swear." Her mother laughed. Adelina rolled her eyes.
"I'm having a look around."
Her parents nod and begin to chat. She looked at everything. Majority are just some possessions she had while living at the castle.
"Adelina?" Her father called.
"Yeah?"
"Their memorial is just outside. Do you want to see it?"
"Yes, of course I do!"
Her father smiled.
"Let's go then."
They all walked out the front and her father lead the way. The path was littered with small flowers and a narrow cobblestone path. The walk was short and as they turned the corner, the memorial was seen. Adelina goes silent as she approached. Their colour still remained bright. Adelina ran her finger over their engraved names in the rock.
"Wow."
Zina stood beside her husband, getting emotional.
"It's fabulous, Abel. It's in such good shape."
"Thank you, my dearest Zina."
Adelina quietly mumbled to herself for a few minutes, quoting a few lines from Catina's book.
"Death couldn't separate their love..."
"Adelina, come on. I think the others are here." Abel said.
"Yeah, alright."
They walked back, spotting a car pull up. Another family stepped out.
"Ah David, my dearest friend!"
Abel and David hug.
"Lovely to see you again, Delphine." Zina said, her arms wrapping around the woman. The two children that exited the car were young, around 15 and 16.
"This must be your daughter, Adelina."
"It is. Adelina, these are the descendants of the Andrei family."
Adelina shook their hands.
"Lovely to meet you."
Abel stood ahead of them all.
"As we all know, Y/N's descendants are still unknown. Many said she didn't even have siblings. Until now."
This caught everyone's attention.
"After much help from Adelina here, we have discovered Y/N's and Alcina's descendants!"
The crowd applauded.
"We wait for their arrival. They're over the moon." Adelina said with a smile.
"But for now, come on inside for some tea." Abel said with a wide smile, throwing his arm over Adelina's shoulder.
Abel leads the crowd around the displays. He came to the letters section.
"So, this is the most important letter we have."
The letter hung on the wall, surrounded by glass. Everyone scanned the letter.
"Dear Y/N,
I hope you're keeping well. I have something quite serious to tell you. Please come over whenever you can because I really need to tell you this. It's been on my mind recently and I just need to share it with someone I trust. If it's no hassle, one of my maidens are a friend of your youngest, Sadie. Could she possibly come over with you? They've been sending letters between each other, which is absolutely hilarious because I first thought they were mine!
I hope this letter reaches you and avoids Alexander.
Alcina Dimitrescu x"
A car was heard pulling up outside. Abel stepped away from everyone.
"That's them..."
Another car was heard.
"Both of them. I'll bring them in."
Abel rushed off to greet the guests. Adelina's gaze went back to the letter for a moment, until the other guests walk in with wide smiles. Abel stands ahead of everyone.
"Welcome!"
Y/N's relations stood on the right while Alcina's relations stood on the left. The others went to greet them and Adelina waited to be last. She approached Y/N's side and shook the male's hand.
"I'm so happy we found you."
She then shook the female's hand.
"Welcome."
She then shook the hand of a woman, around her own age.
"It's lovely to meet you."
She then approached the Dimitrescu side. She shook their hands.
"It's an absolute honor to be here with you today."
She stepped back and stood beside her father.
"Tea?" Her father asked.
"That would be lovely." Said the man from Dimitrescu's side, Cullen.
"We'd love a cup." The mother spoke from Y/N's side, whose name was Alcina aswell, in honour of Y/N's Alcina. Adelina nodded and left to prepare cups of tea. She listened to the conversation as she brought the kettle to the boil.
"I can't believe we're relations to Y/N. Who found out?"
"Me and my daughter, Adelina. She did majority of the work."
"I remember mum telling me about me being named after someone but I never bothered asking. So I was named after Alcina Dimitrescu? I'm just... shocked."
"Can I help you take some cups out?"
Adelina startled.
"Goodness me, a warning would have been nice."
"Sorry..." She said, rubbing the back of her neck.
"It's fine. Yeah, I would appreciate some help."
The girl took a few cups.
"I'm Flavia, by the way."
"Adelina."
She smiles and they shake hands.
"I'll come back for the last mug."
"Thanks Flavia, I appreciate it."
They both walk out with tea.
"So, no blood connections?"
"None. Y/N and Alcina chose to not have kids."
"There must be a reason behind it." Adelina said, getting a mug for herself. Flavia stood with her parents.
"That's what I believe. But we can't be certain."
"Adelina, tell us about your research. I head you delved deep into this." Cullen said, taking a sip of his tea.
"Of course! So, I've read every book there is on these two. Castle Andrei, which originally was named Castle Dimitrescu, not too far from here, was the place Alcina was born and in this very castle was where Y/N's was born. They grew up together. Both families were well known, both very musical. But in their forties, Alcina fell ill and both her and Y/N went missing for a while, until they were found, different and dangerous. There's a sketch of them around, right dad?"
Abel nodded.
"The rest, well, I suggest sitting down." Adelina said with a wide smirk.
