The room was filled with deafening silence and she could still hear her own heart beating so fast. Probably due to the fact that she took the stairs to get to her hotel room which was in the seventh floor of the building or was it because she still vibrantly recalled the memories with her. She needed to think. She needed to breathe. She needed time. She needed the space. She tried to remember why'd she decided to come to the place where she was really heartbroken and betrayed by someone who just looked like her.
Yoohyeon sat on the hotel bedroom and scanned the vicinity, letting out a heavy sigh. She lied down her bed and stared at the ceiling.
"She changed" Yoohyeon mumbled, reaching for a pillow and hugged it tightly.
"She was not that same girl, I know. She was composed and polite" She thought, recalling their first encounter.
"You were so rude to me, Minji. You were" She whispered to herself.
Seven years, she left but she would think that the glimpses of memories were still vigorously alive. There were changes to the place as well as changes of the people she have known for almost six months she have stayed. They were all successful and seemed to be happy with what they achieved in life. Yoohyeon took her phone, not because she wanted to messaged someone but to look at the pictures she saved during her stay with her friends. Even though, she left and never came back for seven years, she was still very fond of the company of her friends in this place that no one can ever match.
As she was scrolling through her phone, she saw some pictures of Bora and Siyeon cuddling with each other. She still couldn't believe that the two is a couple now. They were always bickering with each other in every chance they get and Minji would be so irritated by them, scolding them in the process. She could not deny the fact that she really miss those moments.
"I wish I could turn back time" She thought. The silver haired girl continued to scroll through her phone, she stared at the picture of her, Dami with Gahyeon before she left Korea. Dami was in totally against her decision leaving Korea but she could not stop her since she knew how hurt and devastated her bestfriend is. Yoohyeon told her not to tell her other friends where'd she go as she didn't want to have any connection with her. Minji. Lee Yubin, respected her decision and had kept her promise to the devastated young girl in that time. They still had been communicating with each other, Dami wanted to make sure that Yoohyeon is doing good and wouldn't do things to hurt herself. There was one time that Yoohyeon wanted to kill herself because she wanted to be with Jiu in afterlife. Dami thought of it as absurd, after she totally remembered everything, Yoohyeon was not herself but grieving. She went to Japan just to check on her friend and she would always thanked her for being there with her.
"You are such a good friend" The silver haired girl mumbled to herself. Her right thumb kept on scrolling and chuckled lightly as she saw Handong and her, posing cute pictures.
She just missed her weird affection towards her. She didn't know what Handong sees in her and that she was intrigued of even marrying her. She cackled at the thought that Jungkook and her would be a thing. She always perceived her as homosexual and would never date guys, but looking at how in love she is with Jungkook is just a great feeling and happy for both of them.
Still scrolling. Trying to find some pictures of the girl she once despised, hoping that she still have saved some even though she already deleted all of the photos containing her face. Seeing Minji in flesh after seven years, was such a refreshing one. She wanted to hate the girl, but she cannot do it. She seemed to admire her more but something tells her that do not fool by the angelic face and you would end up falling into her fiery pithole. She cried over her for years and Jiu didn't want that, she deeply knows. The only thing that confuses Yoohyeon was that she met the girl for six months but she made a big impact in her life. And it was the unsaid feeling toward the girl. She might looked like her Jiu but she never said her true feelings towards the girl. She couldn't since she left.
"Did I really loved you because you look like her?"
"Or is it because I have true feelings for you and not just because of your face"
After those years, she would always think of that way. She would always assessed her feelings towards the girl without thinking about her twin sister. But she couldn't. She would always think of Jiu. As she always loved her.
But seeing Minji during their get together, when she walked in the door, she saw the blonde girl on her phone and seeing some flashes of memories of her having red hair and her being the cold, intimidating rude person she is before. She hesitantly went to the table she had reserved for them but her feet doing the job. Upon arriving the table, she stood there for a few minutes examining the now blonde girl's features. After a few minutes, Minji looked up and was met by the eyes she missed after all those years, it was the same with Jiu. But all she could see is Minji's eyes not her.
It is an odd feeling for her because at that moment, she didn't think of her but Minji only and the memories they've shared for such a short time.
Yoohyeon saw a notification from someone she met in Japan. It was from Yuki.
From Yuki: Love, how's your day so far :)
She smiled at the sweet text, and decided to reply to him. They have been together for four years since she met him at college. He's been so kind and understanding to her.
From Yoohyeon: I had such a great time. My friends here really missed me, Love. I really hope that you accompany here so I could introduce you, Love.
