Chapter Three

Take care... I will miss you.

Wha.. what are you talking about? W-why are you saying goodbye? I don’t understand!

Someday you will..

What.. no! Don’t leave!

Don’t leave me!

No!

M—

*Knock, knock, knock*

I HEARD three knocks coming from the door. Mabuti na lang may kumatok. Those knocks woke me up. Geez, those nightmares are just.. ugh, I don’t even wanna talk about it.

I felt something wet on my face. Seriously? I’m tearing up over that dream?

*Knock, knock, knock*

Ay, may tao nga pala.

“Who’s there?”

“It’s me.” What a great answer.

“Pasok.”

The door swung open at iniluwa nito si kuya who’s wearing pajamas at mukhang kagigising lang.

“What’s up, kuya? It’s.." Tumingin ako sa digital clock ko to check the time. “..six thirty in the morning. What made you come here this early?”

It's a Saturday morning. I believe walang pasok ngayon.

“Do you know where Klyde is?”

My forehead creased after hearing his question. “No, why? He’s not in his room?”

“If he is, then I wouldn’t come here to ask you.”

Aaaand sarcasm attacked us early in the morning. Ganito si kuya kapag bagong gising eh. Kaya sa future asawa ni kuya, goodluck.

“He’s probably out with his friends or something. Hindi naman ‘yon gagawa ng bagay na ikamamatay niya.” I said and laid back down on my bed. It’s too early to get up.

“Hey, get up.”

I groaned and got up again. “Why? It's a Saturday.”

“I know, duh. But you still have to get up.”

“But why?”

“Because.... why not?” He chuckled.

“Seriously? Go away. I wanna sleep.” Sabi ko at tinalikuran ulit siya.

“Alright, sleepy head.” Naramdaman kong tumayo na siya.

I heard his foot steps fading followed by the door closing.

Seconds later, I felt mister drowsy slowly cradling me in his arms.

“Sh—what is it kuya? I’m trying to sleep here!” I yelled.

“Gaga girl, ako ‘to.”

I seriously don’t get why people answer “it’s me” or “ako ‘to” when you ask for their identity everytime they knock. Like, am I supposed to guess who they are by “ako ‘to”? Aish.

I sighed before getting up. I lazily walked to the door.

“What is it, Aliyah?” I asked and opened the door.
