"Okay, Camilo.. You got this." The teen whispered to himself as he walk back and forth in the kitchen.
It's currently five in the afternoon and he's waiting for you to go out of his sister's bedroom, you went inside around breakfast and he hasn't seen you since then.
His auntie gave him a couple of good advice and he wouldn't waste those so here he is, gathering enough courage to talk to you again, well- probably.
"You're the son of Felix Madrigal! The most romantic and caring man in Encanto! So don't you dare cower away once you saw her beautiful face!" Encouraging himself as he continue pacing around the kitchenette.
Julieta could only watch her nephew with amusement while cooking her family's dinner meal.
"You shouldn't cower.. You should not! She's just the daughter of (Mother's name), a kind, loving, beautiful, precious and brave daughter that you've ever met!-" Camilo couldn't help but let out a shaky sigh as he described the daughter of (Mother's name)
"You should just walk up to her and talk." Pepa's voice made Camilo jump. His gift allowing him to shift into your mother, your best friend, you and then back to himself.
"Geez! Mami.." Camilo startled voice made his mother laugh, he slumped on the nearest chair, dropping his head on the table.
Pepa walked over and run a hand on his curly hair. "Just like what you said, you're the son of your papi so you shouldn't cower."
"Well, it's obvious that he can't do it today." Julieta's voice made the mother and son look at her.
Hand on her hip while the other is on the kitchen counter, a gentle yet teasing smile resting upon her lips. "The young lady wouldn't go anywhere, but it would be amazing if you can talk to her today, even if it's just short exchanged of words."
His Tia encouraged him once more.
Pepa and Julieta both shared a smile, they both knew that it wasn't easy to make a move nor confess but if he wouldn't get encourage then he won't do anything.
"I'll talk to her again today! I promise!-.." Camilo's voice faltered a little in the end of his sentence.
The two adults only giggled at his determination.
A creak of opening door made the two adults stop giggling then your voice can be heard from the second floor.
Pepa quickly pulled Camilo up to his feet before pushing him out of the kitchen, the boy realized what was happening a little too late.
He only snapped out of his confusion when he saw your walking figure on the second floor, smiling and silently giggling with Dolores.
"Okay.. You can do this.." He whispered to himself once more.
His heart beating so fast and loud which made Dolores glance on his direction, he saw his sister gave him a thumbs up from her back.
He shakily lift a thumb and nodded his head.
You stopped talking when you saw Camilo approached you and Dolores once the two of you reached the bottom of the stairs.
"Oh." Your eyes brightened up, softly gazing at him with a smile, "Hola, Camilo."
The boy visibly stiffened, sweats rolling down his forehead and hands, but he couldn't careless right now. He need to say something before you step out of Casita.
"I- uhm-" He stumbled for a bit, eyes looking everywhere except you. "Could you- uh, I don't know.. Stay for dinner?"
Pepa silently cheered for her son from the kitchen, raising her hand on the air whilst mouthing the words 'You can do it!'.
Camilo was about to back down but Dolores stepped closer to his side and pulled his hand to make him stay on his spot.
Dolores knew that you're contemplating if you should stay or not, it always take you awhile so she's gonna make her little brother stay on his spot.
Camilo tried to shake off his sister's hand, not wanting to stay any longer.
"Okay!" Your voice brought him out of his inner turmoil of unwanted thoughts.
Just then, Dolores let go of his hand and let out a squeak as if to say 'I told you so.' even though she really didn't say anything.
His eyes met yours, he can feel his knees going weak when you smiled even wider towards him.
Dios mio! he internally yelled.
He knew that his knees are about to buckle below him so he didn't wanna stay any longer, he doesn't want to embarrass himself infront of you.
"I- err, thank you-" His voice betrayed him, shaking and stumbling with his words causing for him to get flustered as the seconds pass by.
Heat crept up to his face and he's ready to cover his face with his ruana, only if it weren't for you grasping his hand with your own.
"Are you alright?" Your voice laced with worry.
You know the effect you have on him, you're not that dense.
You know about his little crush towards you for awhile now, basically, his actions and reactions that you'll pull out from him gave him away.
You would tease him here and there just to see reaction.
But sometimes, you couldn't help but worry because he often look like he's gonna pass out, just like now.
Mouth agape, hazel eyes wide with shock, freckled cheeks warm and ears red as he tried to say something but failing miserably.
"Camilo?" You called out once more, grasping his cheek with your other hand and feeling how warm his skin is.
"Dolores! I think you're brother is gonna pass out!" You turned to your best friend, panicked gaze upon your eyes.
But you only saw Dolores covering her mouth and looking away.
Your left eye twitched at the sight.
She looks like she's about to laugh, but just holding it back.
"Seriously, Dol? Camilo's about to pass-" You got cut off when you felt a body limped on your arms.
You immediately caught the teen.
"Miercoles- Mami!" Dolores finally called out.
Camilo's weight made your knees buckle so you slowly and carefully sat down on the floor, pulling his body close to yours.
Pepa ran out of the kitchen and stopped herself from gushing at your and her son's position right now.
She quickly kneeled beside you, her face didn't show much worry though.
Only the one that you'll call pure joy and amazement. Proud gaze was shot towards her unconscious son before she turned her attention to you.
"I think you killed him, mija." Pepa giggled and left a kiss on your cheek before she stand up.
"I'll go get Felix, can you stay with him inside his room until dinner?" His mother mused.
You're curious to see his reaction when he wakes up so you could only nod your head at her.
A larger grin was placed on her face as she walked out of Casita, you guessed that she's gonna get your Tio Felix.
A giggle from Dolores made you snap your attention towards her which you only replied with a roll of your eyes, but a ghost of a smile still broke into your lips.
"Just don't tease your bother too much about this." You said, making your best friend broke into a fit of giggles.
