"Amor? What do you want for breakfast?" You heard your mother called out to you through the other side of your bedroom door.
You moved on your bed to stuck out your head from your blanket, eyes puffy and throat aching.
"I don't want to eat anything, ma. I'm not hungry." Your voice came out hoarse and raspy, making your throat itchier than earlier.
You groaned and goes back inside of your little cocoon, closing your eyes and falling asleep almost immediately.
Dolores sighed softly when she heard little snores and even breath throughout the air. Her lips pursing lightly as she yearned to be by your side so she reassure you and calm you.
She can't do that yet, she needs to be with her parents and the other adults of Madrigals as they all suggest what they should to the new family in town.
"She harassed my mijito, mami!" Pepa exclaimed, thunderstorms above her head as she recalled how her son looked in his sister's arms.
Dolores kept her mouth shut, she doesn't want to say anything more than that she had slip out—
"Dolores. Can you tell us what happened?" Señora Madrigal— Alma, turned to Dolores with an expectant gaze.
Well, guess she have no choice but to talk and spill everything.
"Estrella Serrano confessed to my hermano.." Dolores looked down on the floor, seemingly uncomfortable to say the next words.
"Go on." Alma encouraged her, her brows furrowed in irritation.
"Uhm, she— she kissed mi hermano forcefully.." Her hush whisper sounded so loud on the dining table.
Wide eyes stared at her in shock, annoyance and anxiety as the older Madrigals processed what she said, they never expect someone to force themselves to the people in town, especially not the Madrigals.
Alma stood up, making the atmosphere around there get even more tense.
"As soon as the rain stops tommorow, we'll give the new family a visit. We didn't welcome them here just for their daughter to harass one of my grandchildren." Alma stated with authority on her voice.
The others could only nod and wait for her to walk out of the dining room, when the head of the family finally left the room- Isabella didn't waste anytime to grasp Dolores's shoulder.
"What did that little dirt say to primo?" Isabella hissed out, it wasn't pointed towards Dolores though.
The younger woman sighed, her eyes looking down on your hands in her lap as she fumbled with her fingers.
"Camilo came to their meeting spot yesterday to say that it'll be the last time they'll talk to her." Dolores sighed softly, "But that little girl decided to be stubborn and kiss hermano instead."
"She even accused that me and Dolores are his 'women'." Luisa quote in the air.
Cactus sprouted from the ground near Pepa and Felix, Isabella breathed heavily and gripped Dolores's shoulder tighter.
"She had the audacity to kiss him? Has she lost her mind?! And she even accused of him as cheater? They're not even together!!" Isabella shrieked loudly and Dolores had to cover her ears.
"Calm down, mija." Agustin cooed towards his daughter and pulled Isabella aside to calm her down.
"What's worse is that, Y/n saw all of it. Camilo didn't have the guts to explain it all to her." Dolores sighed.
Pepa and Felix both let out an synchronized annoyed groans.
"Why is he sulking inside his room then? Wait, mi vida. I'll give him a lesson." Felix gave his wife a kiss on the cheek before letting go of her waist and walking away.
