A ‘Sorry’ will not do it,if I punch you in the face and said the word ‘Sorry’ is everything going to be fine? No,but if you want them to know that you're sorry just leave them be and never show your face to them again
Although it depends,if I was intentionally hitting you in the face then yes,I wouldn't even mutter the word ‘sorry’.But if it was an accident then yes go ahead and apologise,the only thing that will determine your safety is on the other person.
