Ariana was aggravated with the 'Save Elena Squad'. They knew that she was close with Klaus and he done anything to them in a long time. At this point they're just trying to pick a fight. Ariana had scolded Klaus multiple times for his past actions but a the same time she understood why he did all of it. It may have been a little excessive but she gets it.
She was sitting in her room at the Mikealson mansion. Klaus knocked on the door softly while opening it. "Are you alight, love? You haven't come out of your room since you got home from planning the dance." "I don't even think the dance is happening anymore. The school gave us a really low budget and me and Carline aren't on the same page right now." "Anything you can tell me?" He asked as he sat on her bed next to her.
"They're planning something Nik. I don't know what it is but it can't be good. Just please be careful." She scooted over and rested her head on his shoulder. "People have been trying to kill me for 1000 years, love. None have succeeded and none ever will." She just chuckles and responds "Famous last words Mr.Mikealson."
He just sends her a sarcastic smile and they fall asleep.
Caroline was on her way to the Mikealson mansion to tell Ariana what they were planning. She quietly speeds up to her room the find Klaus giving her a signal to be quiet while pointing to a sound asleep Ariana. She shakes her head at the sight, her mind running a mile a minute. She quickly get out of there and heads to the Salvatore boarding house. "We can't trust her!" She yells as she bursts through the doors.
Stefan, who was sitting alone in the living room, jumped slightly in his seat. Of course he heard her outside his house but he didn't think she'd barge in like that. He stood up and sat his drink down before facing the blonde. "Who?" "Ariana." "What? Why?" "She's too attached. I saw her and Klaus today and the way she protected him when he wasn't even there." "When did that happen?" "Before our group meeting in the woods.." Caroline responded in a quiet whisper. "Why didn't you say anything?" "Well.." she paused and looked at him, knowing he'd be angered by her answer.
"Caroline." He said in a warning tone. "I don't know. One minute we were planning a party then we're talking about protecting butterflies and I'm agreeing to tell her everything." She blurted out as fast as she could. "Protecting butterflies?" He repeats with his brows furrowed. "She guilt tripped me into helping her. I didn't get the chance to because when I went to tell her she was snuggled up with Klaus. Do you think he's manipulating her?"
"He has to be. It's not like Ariana to make her friends do things." "Yeah, but we saw the way Klaus changed Tyler." "This is different. Ariana isn't sired to him." "Fair enough..What are we gonna do now?" "We have to find a way to get her away from him. The further the better." "What if we're wrong. Why else would she be doing this?" Stefan tried to think about how this would play out in any situation but still had no clear answer. "I guess we're gonna find out." He replies before calling the squad to formulate a plan.

Back at the mansion Ariana and Klaus lay peacefully sleeping. Their calm breathing releasing the occasional soft snore. The light from the morning sun peaking in from the curtains. Suddenly Bonnie Bennet removed the invisibility spell she'd castes soon herself. She cast a sleeping spell on the original hybrid as the two Salvatore brothers sped onto the property. This felt almost too easy for them. Then brother tried to pick Ari up but the second she realized what was happening she started kicking and screaming for Klaus but he wouldn't wake up.
She fought and kicked and screamed until they stabbed her with a dart that she could only assume was vervain. It didn't knock her out due to her tolerance so they had to Stan her with another, a low grunt came out of her mouth. Then, she was out. She didn't miss the sting that it brought through her body. Or the way it made her completely helpless.
Her unconscious body was carried out as they hurried before the spell wore off. Seeing her like this made Stefan feel guilty. Like he was betraying her even though he was trying to help her. He doesn't think she'd see it that way once she woke up. That was a moment Stefan was dreading to see.
