Ariana was preparing for the dance. She fixed a stray strand of her hair before stepping down the stairs, having heard Elena open the door for Stefan. Ariana still didn't like that they were going together. Stefan didn't deserve to be dragged on like this. Ariana was willing to bet her bank account that Stefan didn't know that her and Damon had made out not long before.

She smile at Stefan as she came down the stairs, glancing at Elena with a strained look. "You both look really nice." She spoke, trying to be civil. They nodded their heads before the three of them left. The way to the dance was filled with the chatter of the two best friends as Elena stood there quiet.

As they entered the dance Elena and Stefan ran off together, leaving Ariana alone. She sighed and headed somewhere to find a drink. She finds a familiar original standing there.

"Aren't you a little old to be here?" She tilts her head as she pours herself a cup. "I'm only here because Rebekah begged me to be. We need to talk, love." At that Ariana raised her brows. Whatever people said after that usually wasn't good. "I plan on leaving town tomorrow."

Ariana felt a pang of sadness. Her best friend would leave. No matter how much she wanted to she knew she couldn't follow him. "Oh? That's sudden." "There's not much left for me in this town." "I get that." "That's not all." Klaus hands her what looks to be house keys. "Where do they go to?"

"I'm putting you in charge of the mansion while I'm away. I already have it in your name. You're free to do whatever you like with it." Ariana's eye widened. "You're serious?" "Deadly." "I promise to take care of it." "I know you will."

A wave of sadness hit Ari. She'd be in that gigantic house alone. Nik wouldn't wake her up on the mornings or hang out with her until she was tired. "I'm gonna miss you." "And I you, love. I'll be sure to visit when I can but I doubt it will be often." Ariana just nods and pulls him in for a hug. "I'll see you off in the morning?" "I'd rather enjoy that. If you'll excuse me, love."

She nodded as he left, answering some phone call as he walked outside. It was just then that she looked around and realized everyone she knew was gone. Her eyes scanned the crowd to find nothing. She decided to head outside for some air but was stopped by what looked to be salt on the ground. "What the hell?" She muttered under her breath.

She used he vamp hearing to find her friends, locating them in a classroom. They seemed to be trying to break the spell. Matt came into the room and told them that humans could leave. That's when Jeremy suggested that him and Matt leave. That's also when Ariana barged into the room.

"Like hell you are. I swear it's like every time I turn around you're trying to get yourself killed." She scold him before looking at Bonnie trying to break the spell. "Man I miss being able to help out with things like this." She sighed quietly, knowing damn well Stefan and Klaus both heard her.

Damon, Stefan, Klaus, and Ariana were all standing near the entrance of the gym to give Bonnie some space. Klaus is rather pissed about this whole situation. "You know this is your fault. You set us on this path when you released my mother. I wonder if revenge will prove worth the cost." At his words Ariana just let out a huff as she knew this conversation would drag on. At this point she was tired of everything and just wanted all of them to shut the hell up.
