Rex had been in the medical tent for a couple days.
"Do you think he's going to be okay?" Samantha asked.
"I hope." You said, staring at the tent. The sith had vanished, but no ships had left the planet. Samantha hugged you. "What's this for?" You asked. You felt her start to cry into your shirt. "Samantha..."
"I'm scared." She sobbed. You knelt down to her level.
"Everything's going to be okay Samantha." You said. "You don't need to be scared."
"But what if we can't save our village?" Samantha said.
"We'll figure that out when it happens." You said. "One problem at a time." She smiled.
"One problem at a time." There was a yell. You jumped up. One of the clones, Jesse, ran into the camp.
"What is it?" You asked him.
"Droids!" Jesse said. "Super battle droids, droidekas, and magna guards!"
"What are magna guards doing here?!" You said.
"A sith must have sent them!" Jesse said. He turned and ran back to the ridge and the rest of the clones. You followed him.
"Tell the villagers to hide!" You yelled back at Samantha. You grabbed your energy bow and a blaster. You ran up to the ridge. The clones had already started firing. You raised your energy bow and sent bolts of energy into the growing crowd of droids.
"We need reinforcements!" A clone yelled.
"The only link to the republic is with the captain in the medical tent!" Another clone yelled back. "Someone needs to tell him to send a message!"
"I'll do it!" You said.
"Are you sure?" Fives asked. You nodded and ran towards camp. You found the medical tent and ran inside. You saw Rex on a cot.
"Rex!" You said. He opened his eyes.
"Hi y/n." He said. He heard the blaster fire. "What's going on?"
"We need you to contact the republic for reinforcements." You said. "We can't hold off the droids for long." He nodded and sat up.
"This is captain Rex of the 105 battalion." He said into his com link. "We need reinforcements. I repeat we need reinforcements." An unfamiliar voice came out of the com link.
"We're on our way, Rex."
"Thank you commander." Rex said.
"Who was that?" You asked.
"That was a jedi." Rex said.
"Who?"
"Anakin Skywalker." Rex said. "You should help the rest of the clones." You nodded and ran out of the tent. When you got back to the ridge the droids had started to climb the ridge.
"Is anyone coming?" Fives asked.
"Yeah." You said.
"Who?" He asked.
"Anakin skywalker." You said. The droids moved forwards up the ridge. You sent more bolts of energy at the crowd of droids. It seemed like an eternity before a republic gunship appeared in your planet's atmosphere. You saw a hatch open. You saw the familiar outline of clones. But there was a man. "That must be Skywalker." You muttered. They landed in the trees next near the camp. A magna guard appeared in front of you. You shot it. It collapsed next to you. You grabbed it's staff and stabbed an approaching super battle droid in the chest. You ducked back down as blaster shots shot in your direction. You popped back up and shot some bolts of energy. Blaster fire came from the trees and clone reinforcements ran out of the trees. Anakin skywalker ran out of the trees with his blue lightsaber ignited. He started cutting droids.
"Where's Rex?" He yelled.
"Medical tent." Jesse informed him.
"Why's he in there?" The jedi asked.
"He was shot." Jesse said. "But he's recovering quickly."
"Good." Skywalker continued cutting down droids. The rest of the clones behind the ridge ran into the fight. Two magna guards surrounded you. You hefted the staff. It buzzed with electricity. They attacked. You ducked under a staff and stabbed one of them. You sensed an electrified staff coming towards your back. You did a backflip over it and electrified the one who had sent it at you. It hits its target but the magna guard doesn't fall.
"Just die!" You muttered as you dodged an electrified staff. You slashed at one of the magna guards. The staff cut it in half. The droid fell to the ground. You turned to see the other magna guard sending his staff down at you. You blocked it. The droid pushed down, hard. You grunted. The magna guard keeped pushing down, harder and harder. You let out a yell and pushed upwards with all your strength. The staff went up but then was pushed back down. You kicked the magna droid in the stomach but it was no use. You grabbed the other magna guards staff and sent it into the droid's chest. It crumpled to the ground. You saw the jedi watching you. You returned the stare. He was only a few feet away.
"Who are you?" He asked. "Are you Jedi? I sense you are strong in the force."
"I'm just a girl." You said. You stabbed a super battle droid that was coming up behind you. Two more magna guards ran at you and Skywalker. The jedi instantly attacked one of them. You sighed and attacked the other one. It was quick but you were quicker. You cut it right in half. The clones rounded up the last of the droids and shot them down.
"Good job, boys." Skywalker said. He turned to you. "Why were you fighting?" He asked.
"I want to protect my village." You said.
"Where did you learn to fight like that?" Skywalker asked. You shrugged.
"I only know how to throw a punch." You said. "It was just instinct."
"Instinct." The Jedi said. "Huh."
