"Okay, I'll try."

Yoongi wanted to jump up and down, pumping his fist in the air, and cry because she sounded so broken. "Do you want me to ask questions, or do you want just to speak?"

"I don't even know where to start."

He brought his other hand over to envelop hers, "Did your father touch you in any way that hurt or made you feel uncomfortable?"

"Yes, my father used to hit me. But soon, that wasn't enough for him. Teenie was young the first time he touched her. She screamed so loud and fought so hard that her mother had to hold her down. Even though I wasn't there, I remember how badly it hurt. I felt like I was on fire down there. Everything hurt, and by the time he was done, I could barely move." She angrily swiped her tears away, "Well, technically, it wasn't me; Teenie had to deal with that one. That was the night I was created."

Keep your cool, Yoongi; you are finally getting somewhere. "How often did it happen?"

"He'd beat me practically every day. Anything would set him off. If I made too much noise or if my mom upset him. Sometimes, he'd be stressed because of work. But the other stuff, that would happen at least once a week." She laughed almost crazy like, "he was always so nice for the next few days. He'd dote on me and be super sweet like never before. I started to crave that affection, so I stopped fighting him. It made it hurt less, too. Just get through a half hour of wanting to die, and then he'd be the best Dad ever."

It makes sense, she was a child that craved the love and approval of her father figure. But that doesn't make what he did to her even remotely correct. "I know I can't apologize enough for everything you've been through, but please know I am sorry."

"What do you think will happen to Teenie and Natalie now that I've talked?"

"Well, nothing will happen to Natalie because of this, we aren't going to say shit to your father, so he'll have no idea. As for Teenie, I'm hoping to tell her I know what happened and maybe get her to speak."

"I want her to talk; she's just so scared."

He sighed and pulled her in for a hug, "I know she is, but I think this will be good for her. She needs to be free; she's spent ten years hiding inside herself. I want her to live her life even more if she can live it out of here."

"He'll never let her leave here; you must know that?"

She's right; he wouldn't. But there are seven of them, and maybe they can think of something and find a way to save this girl. "I know, but we can dream, right?"

She snorted and rolled her eyes, "dreaming and wishing just leads to disappointment. Life is life; what will happen will happen regardless of your dream or wish."

"You are too young to be that cynical."

She scooted closer, "You are too cute to be that grumpy, yet here we are."

"You are such a flirt." His nose was booped, and then she got up and swayed her hips as she walked out of his office. "That girl, I swear," Yoongi chuckled to himself.

Krissy asked Hobi, "Hey, Sweetheart, how was your nap?"

"It was good, but then Yoongi made me talk. Of course, he did. He can't help himself."

Hobi smiled his sexy sunshine smile, "I think he enjoys talking to you."

"Well, it is me. Who doesn't like talking to me?" Then she walked off to hang out on the roof. She had to access it through their apartment but knew she wouldn't get caught since they were all at work right now. Krissy typed in the code and entered the elevator, which opened up to their loft-style apartment.

It had a very open floor plan; you could see the main areas of the apartment as soon as the elevator doors opened. There was a massive living room with the biggest sectional she'd ever seen, a TV that was taller than she was, and every gaming system known to man. The kitchen was a chef's dream, with a huge fridge and a 6-burner gas stove.

She walked past all of those to head to the hallway; there were eight bedrooms, four on each side. Four bathrooms were shared between them, Jack and Jill style. The first bedroom on the left was their office/library. Its walls were made up of built-in bookshelves. The shelves on the right were medical journals and peer reviews, boring stuff. She knew this because she got nosey one day; a lot of their stuff was about DID, and they wanted to learn everything they could about their condition.

On the left were nonfiction and fiction books; there was even a shelf with some steamy romance novels that she'd steal and read. The wall closest to the door contained anime, manga, and comic books. They may be grown men, but they are still boys, and boys love superheroes. The final wall was full of the trinkets and awards they were given; the most prominent one was the one Krissy gave Jin for his birthday last year. It was a glass trophy etched on it that said 'Kim Seokjin Worldwide Handsome.' He cried when she gave it to him.

He said it was the greatest gift he'd ever received. That man loves his pretty face, and he's easy to win over if you compliment him enough. She left the office and headed down the hall to the door at the end. It leads to the stairs that take you to their decked-out rooftop oasis. It was amazing up there.
