1. Participants must meet a minimum word count for the work they want critiqued (this can be a WIP or completed piece). The field will be divided based on writing experience. For those writers with 0 to 3 yrs writing experience, 10k minimum word count is required. While the folks who have more years writing experience (3+ yrs), 30k words is the minimum.
2. Participants must have access to a desktop computer or laptop and reliable internet connection.
3. Participants must submit a form that includes the following:
a. How long you've been writing regularly and number of works completed
b. Description of previous experience with critique partners, if any
c. Genres and any subgenres of the story you're having critiqued
d. A brief personal bio or a link to your online bio, including social media links
e. A working email where the Writers Connect folks can contact you
Guidelines for a Successful Interactions
1. Take turns speaking to give everyone a chance to participate.
2. Try not to interrupt a conversation with something unrelated.
3. Try to stay on topic when engaging at a virtual table. Take off-topic discussions into a private message.
4. Please keep your language PG-13 in group discussions and chats.
5. Respect must be maintained at all times. While differences in opinion are inevitable, bigotry or prejudice will not be tolerated.
6. Do not use WritersConnX events to promote your own works.
7. Anyone violating these rules may be removed from the event or even barred from participating in future events.
