Ashton: "Look! Mummy look at the panda bear! The mama has a baby just like you have me!" You turn and look at the child and his mother standing next to you, the little boy gesturing wildly at the panda bears in front of you. Feeling a tug on your hand you glance back to your right, seeing your boyfriend smiling back at you. "Ready to go to the next enclosure?" he asks, only wanting to move on if you were ready. You had been dating Ashton for a little over a month, but due to both of your busy schedules, this was your first official date. Of course Ashton had chosen to bring you to a zoo, being the overgrown child that he is. You move on, next looking at the giraffes before heading to the lion exhibit. Knowing the lions are your favorite, Ashton had saved it for the very last. One of the female lions had just birthed a litter of cubs a few weeks back, and they were now tumbling around their enclosure, batting at each other's ears and pulling their silbings' tails. Completely entranced by the lion cubs, you didn't even notice Ashton slip away from your side until he suddenly reappears, a shifty look on his face. "What?" you ask, looking up at him with a puzzled expression. "Oh nothing," he answers, shifting back and forth from foot to foot. "Ashton what is it, you're acting really weird," genuine concern starts creeping into your tone, causing him to crack. He pulls his hands out from behind his back, a lion cub stuffed animal held between them. Your mouth drops open as he holds it out in your direction, grinning. "Ashton!" you exclaim, "you didn't have to get me this!" His reply comes slowly, him drinking up your reaction first. "I know, but I wanted to. I know how much you love them, especially the cubs, so I wanted to get it for you. Plus, you deserve it." You shoot him a confused look, mumbling "I haven't even done anything." "Maybe not directly, but you're already the best girlfriend ever and we haven't even been together that long." You blush as he laughs and pulls you into a hug, your lion smushed between the two of you. The day couldn't have gone any better.
Calum: The knock on your front door signalled the arrival of your boyfriend of a week and a half, causing the butterflies to erupt in your stomach yet again. You gave yourself the once-over in the mirror, you curled your hair and wearing your favorite lace skater dress with flats. You opened to door to find Calum holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers and a box of chocolate his left hand tucked neatly in his pocket. "You look stunning Y/N," Calum says and thrusts the gifts into your hands You take the flowers from him and put them in a spare vase in your living room before joining back up with Calum outside. "M'lady," he says cheesily as he opens the passenger side door for you to climb in. The blush is evident on your face as you slide in the passenger seat. He climbs in on the drivers side and grabs your hand, resting it on the middle console a he drives you to your destination. You get a table for two at Nando's and the date goes perfectly. The night is full of stories and laughter, the two of you never running out of things to talk about. Calum's deep in a story about Luke, his sister, and a rubber chicken mask when your waitress for the evening places the check on the table. You reach for it when Calum playfully slaps your hand away, earning a puzzled look from you. "The boyfriend should pay for the girlfriend," he says, pulling out his wallet and leaving a $10 tip on the table. "I brought you here so it just makes sense." You smile lightly at this small but caring gesture. On the way out you grab his hand and didn't let go until he walked you up to the front porch of your house. "I had a lot of fun tonight," you say, and you meant it. Having a boyfriend was new to you but also exciting. "So did I," he says. "But tonight hasn't been perfect." A flash of panic shoots through you. Before you can say anything, Calum leans down and presses his lips gently to yours. You can feel him smirk against your lips. "Now it's perfect," he says as he places a kiss on your temple and walks back to his car.
Luke: Simple. Fun. Casual. That's the way Luke had describe the evening he had planned for your first date. You two had been dating for about 3 weeks now, insisting on taking things slow and not rush into the relationship with his busy band schedule. Luke had made reservations for lunch at an Italian restaurant downtown and then take you to play a round of mini golf. It would be perfect. You decided to keep your outfit simple yet cute, wanting to impress Luke; a pair of denim shorts and a flowy tanktop. On the way to lunch, Luke's car broke down. You missed your reservation and ended up having to eat at Taco Bell, but you still had mini golfing to look forward to. The rest of the date went smoothly up until the 11th hole. A small group of girls spotted Luke and asked him for pictures, and the small group kept multiplying until it was a mob. The owner of the course politely asked you and Luke to leave for disturbing the other golfers. Your first date ended up with you puking up what you ate for lunch of the road with Luke holding back your hair. "I'm sorry Y/N, tonight was awful. I'm a shitty boyfriend," Luke said as you two got back in the car. The disappointment was evident on his face, your heart shattered. "Luke what are you talking about? I had an amazing time," you assured him. "And you're not a shitty boyfriend." "But I gave you food poisoning and the fans-" You cut him off by placing a finger to his lips. "Luke, none of that matters to me. All I care about is spending time with you.. Tonight wasn't awful, nothing could have ruined it." You leaned over, giving him a kiss on the cheek before getting out of the car. "We should do this again," you say through the window. "Get kicked out of a mini golf course?" Luke asks puzzled. "I meant a date, but we can do that again too if you'd like."
Michael: You were crouched in the corner behind the wall, listening intently for anyone coming up the ramp to your right. Gun in hand you waited, patient, ready to ambush anyone that came your way. You were so focused on watching the ramp that you didn't hear the person sneak up behind you until their hand was pressed over your mouth and they were tugging on the back of your vest, pulling you backwards. Dragged to a different section of the room, you spin around when the hand uncovers your mouth. You're met with the green eyes and brilliantly red hair of your new boyfriend, Michael. He had decided to take you laser tagging on your first date; he figured that if you could survive the competitiveness of the game and still like each other after, you could make it through a lot. As you were on the same team, you didn't understand why he pulled you back like that. Your vantage point was perfect, no one could have gotten by without you knowing. "Why did you do that," you hiss at him, trying to keep your voice down. He presses a single finger to his lips before then pointing at the wall you're crouched behind and then the floor. Furrowing your eyebrows you think about what he's trying to tell you before it hits you, and you nod your head once in understanding. Rising from your crouched position, you peek over the wall just enough to see over, your head barely showing and sure enough, there's a majority of the opposing red team, just standing vulnerable. Dropping back down to Michael's level, you point back down the way you came and then to the right, then straight down. His eyes light up and he nods his head up and down, turning and leading the way. You crawl on your hands and knees until you're practically on top of the opposing team, pausing to glance at each other one more time before you jump up, shooting every single member in unison. You turn to one another and high five, whooping as you hear the words "Green team wins" ring out through the room. "You kick absolute ass at laser tag," Michael huffs out, slightly out of breath. He smiles at you, making butterflies burst in your stomach. "I knew you were perfect for me."
