Outside the prison: Rose got punished to help heal the elderly and hurt fairies in her village. Healing someone takes up your own energy. The rate of healing is 1:5, for every one amount of energy you use for healing, the other person gets healed five times the amount. While healing, Rose thought about what she did to Ben. She didn't think the king would take him to the giant prison. No one ever comes out of there again.
She starts to worry and gets unfocused. Her healing wasn't working well: "I come here to get healed and get and incompetent healer? You know how much I did for this village?", the elderly fairy said angrily. Rose apologised: "I'm sorry. I was-". "None of that! Do your job so I can go away again", the elderly fairy cut Rose off.
Deeply hurt, she continues her healing until she was all out of energy. She reports to the king: "Oh, great king. I'm at the end of my limits. I am unable to restore the others anymore. My body aches to get rest", she pleaded. "Good, I can sense your energy drained. Get some rest and continue when you awaken". Rose bowed and thanked the king. It was already dark.
Arriving back home, she gets scolded by her parents, why she was seen near a giant: "He could've killed you!". "And he could start an attack on our village! Are you not aware of this?", her parents asked her. "You don't understand. He's not-", Rose couldn't continue speaking as she got slapped: "To your room, Rose! You're not allowed anywhere besides the healing zone from now on!". "What? You can't-", Rose stopped speaking because she saw her fathers hand raise again. She flew quickly into her room and cried. She can't believe what she caused.
Back in the prison: Ben is cuffed to the walls, like the other giants, reinforced with magic. He didn't eat or drink anything for the entire time he has been here. Frustrated, he starts stomping the floor, causing the nearby giants to wake up. The guards come flying by and start laughing at Ben: "You think this will help you in any way? Pathetic!". Ben didn't listen, he keeps stomping and waking up more giants. He doesn't stop. Not long after, other giants joined him and stomped into the ground as hard as they could.
It is nighttime already. Rose isn't asleep yet, she can't sleep knowing she caused the death of the giant. She didn't hate him, to her it feels like playing what they have done. Before she could start to overthink and cry, she heard it: Rhythmic stomping coming from where they took the giant! Turning herself invisible, Rose quickly flew to the entrance. The prison is protected by a spell, making all fairies visible and impossible for giants to enter or exit unless briefly lifted by a guard or the king himself.
