“I'm worried about him…” I say.

“I'm sure he’s on his way back right now.” Holly says. All of a sudden there is this rustling noise then a groan coming from outside.

“Holly did you hear that?” I ask

“Hear what?” She asks. Then I hear it again and it's getting closer.

“Don’t tell me you can’t hear that.”

“That time I heard it… but I'm sure everything is fine, calm down.” The noise seems like it's right outside the door. All of a sudden it's quiet. Then someone or something starts banging on the door. The door starts to creak like someone is throwing their weight against the door.
"Who’s there?" Holly asks. The only response she got was a moan  some heavy breathing and more rattling as they or it continues to try to get in.
"Who are you?" she asks. But it doesn’t stop and the door doesn’t like it will hold much longer.

"Holly is my bow still in the closet by the kitchen?" I ask

"Yeah. Why?" I don't answer her, I just run towards the kitchen closet. As I grab my bow and a couple arrows I hear a gunshot and a thump and everything goes quiet. I knocked an arrow on my bow and headed back to the living room. The door handle starts to jiggle. I pull the string back.

“I’m warning you, I have a weapon and I'm not afraid to use it!” I holler as the door opens. A familiar tall figure enters.
"Jack?” I ask as hes breathing heavily

"yeah, it's me, holy shit" he says trying to catch his breath. I gently release the pressure on my bow string being careful not to release the arrow.

"Jesus Christ you had me worried."

"I had me worried, almost didn't make it" he says between breaths, he has his motorcycle bags over his shoulder, he sets them down and sits down on the couch.

“I'm pretty sure olivianne was worried enough for the both of yas.” Holly says, causing me to blush. Jack says nothing. He rummages through his bag, pulls out a bunch of wallets and a rag, he uses the rag to wipe his face off.

“Find anything useful?” I ask

“No, I was more focused on fighting for my life as I was burying the girl. Do you see all these wallets? That’s how many of them there were, they are deadly in groups, I almost didn't make it but I'm resourceful, I took their wallets and buried them all.” he says.

“Well I'm glad you are ok.” I say.

“Yeah...” is all he says as he goes through the wallets and takes the ids out of each wallet and pulls connors out so he can keep them together.

“Is… is that Connor's?” she asks, her breath becomes shaky.

“Yeah it is, Holly…” I say.

“Does… does that mean he was one… one of them?”

“Yes and I killed him.” Jack says putting the id’s back where he had pulled connor’s from. Holly’s legs gave out and she landed on her knees her mouth wide open with shock. “Might want to take care of her.” he says to me.

“Well you could have sugar coated it a little.” I say

“Why? It still ends up being the same message in the end.”

"Well you could have said 'yes he was one of them and that you put him out of his misery' she would have reacted differently... But it's done and over with now. No need for me to drag it on..."

"So like I said, you should help her" I walk over to Holly, help her up and take her upstairs. When I come back down half an hour later I'm alone. He's clean now and in a different set of clothes, a set of what looks like army attire.
