Chapter 1

Russia wakes up abruptly and looks at his alarm clock. It's 7:30.

'SHIT' he internally thought. He almost never oversleeps. He quickly gets up and throws something together to wear and get out the door.

He's too much in college debt to afford a car so public transportation is his only ride. He runs through the streets as fast as he can hoping he'll make it on time.

'Ten minutes'

He runs at full speed and holds his ushanka as he zooms down the human infested sidewalk. He sees the underground subway entrance and slides down the stair rails. He sees his train and starts to run to it.

Suddenly someone walks right in front of him and he crashes into them. Coffee spills all over the two of them. Luckily it wasn't hot. The cold weather had stolen most of its warmth.

"Ах! Бля извините!"

"Shit! What the fuck man?!"

Russia stared blankly at him for a second. His English was very rusty and poor.

"I- I did not mean to I'm sorry sir" Russia's accent was thick and he stuttered a bit

He could hardly understand him. All Russia could hear out of their mouth was a quiet "What the fuck..?"

The man looked at his watch and angrily growled. Russia apologized to him again but he just glared. The man walked off without another word and Russia felt bad after that... He heard the sound of train doors closing and his head snapped over to see his doors closing.

"NO NO WAIT-"

He ran to the door but it had already closed. He sighed and looked up at the ceiling. The traffic is too thick to take a taxi and walking to campus would take just as long.

'Shit...'

Russia walked back to his apartment and layed down on the couch staring blankly at the ceiling for a bit. A notification on his phone pulled him out of his trance. He looked at it and it was a twitter notification. He looked at it and it was a post from China.

"Why the fuck am I still following this asshole?"

Russia said with complete and utter anger at the country. They used to be together. That was until Russia had enough with the empty promises, cheating, manipulation, and constant gaslighting. They were together for 3 years. They met in his first year of college. Russia had never been in a relationship before. He thought it was love but in reality he was so neglected as a child that any form of being treated like a normal human being made him feel happy. He didn't love China. He was manipulated by him. Just another person that he could use.

Anger started to boil inside of him. There was no heartbreak once Russia ended it. It was just anger.

He got up from the couch and walked to the kitchen. He pulled a bottle of vodka out of the fridge, popped it open, and just started drinking from the bottle. He usually pours it into a glass like a civilized person but he was in no mood right not to do anything like that..

//3rd person America's POV\\

America, irritated after the country ran into him, found some napkins to try and wipe the coffee off of him. He walked into a cafe and waited. He was waiting for someone. He looked at his watch. Five minutes late...

'He's not usually late... Maybe it's just a coincidence! He might have just overslept'

He kept trying to keep himself thinking rationally.
