A Secret Princess [WMMAP fanfic]

Part 6

Inside the palace is constant chaos. Between Ivanna and Jeannette. The palace staff slowly started to divide into different factions. The Ivanna faction, the Jeannette faction, and the to disgusted to care faction. Jeannette faction was made up of staff that supported Jeannette and stayed loyal to her. On the other hand the Ivanna faction was made up of people who hated Jeannette and decided to go with Ivanna. Lastly the To disgusted to care faction. A faction made up of  staff who really din't care, they disliked the nature of both princesses, but never had the status to go against it. So they  ignored the two. 

The nobility had also taken interest in this little game of factions and just like the palace staff they split themselves into three factions. The emperor really din't care all he needed was a dutiful successor and both princesses hadn't risen up to the challenge.

Jeanette was considered smart but she's the kind of person to take on a task laze off and then cheat and use dirty methods to win. Ivanna was your typical spoilt brat who has the perfect status and life. So both didn't have the standards and personality Claude was looking for.

Honestly if he had it his way he would kill them both and adopt a child who'll inherit the throne but the nobles who he thought of as annoying would riot causing him to get angry kill the nobles and then throw the country into ruin. Unfortunately he din't want to be a useless emperor like his brother so he had to live with two brats who call themselves his daughters.(I almost feel sorry for the man but this torture is necessary for future happiness).

Claude truly didn't care a bit about any of his so called kids. Little did he know that there was one he hadn't met yet.

Athanasia' s side 

After Athy had met the strange mage in the woods he kept visiting her over and over again. She truly din't know why and whenever she asked him he would say stuff like. "I'm a very important person in the empire its my duty to look after the princess" When he's in a good mood, but during his bad days he would say stuff like "I don't need a license to see you do I?".

Despite him bieng a very annoying pain and a way for her secret to get out Athanasia din't restrict him from coming or  act so strict with him she was actually pretty free and told him everything cuase he'd find out anyways.

She got used to him pretty quickly. To be honest Athanasia never had an opportunity  to make friends until that fateful day she met Lucas in the forest. Now she's the only friend that she made by herself.

"Lucas I'm going to Obelia" She blurted out she wanted to tell him this for a long time now but she just got the courage to say it now.

"What for?" He asked with a completely uninterested  tone in his voice.

"So you see there's a transfer program, that my cousins are gonna attend there and my Aunt, Grandpa, and Uncle will be going to for political reasons. And my aunt thinks its way to dangerous to leave me here alone so were all going there" She said walking around her room trying to explain.

"You literally live deep in a forest and nobody literally no one knows you exist." He said throwing a cookie into his mouth.

"I still have to go." She said putting a hand on her forehead.

"Okay, see you there." Lucas said.

"Wait your coming?" She asked.

"I live there. Bye" He said and then he teleported out of the room.

And just like that Athanasia' s journey to her hometown happened. She went to Obelia's capital with her family and the worst of it is that they had to stay at the sapphire palace.

Dannielle was yelling at Dion for not confirming the place they were gonna stay Athy and Daniella were Simply sipping tea while Dylan was busy playing chess with his grandfather. Dannielle yelled at Dion before she turned to Athanasia and said.

"Dear, you have a program tommorow, I suggest that you go to bed."  She smiled at Athanasia. Athanasia then left.

She really din't wanna sleep when everyone else could stay up as much as they wanted. But due to her aunt's current mood its probably safer to listen. As she was walking through the long hall ways of the sapphire palace.  Suddenly she bumped into someone and fell to the floor.

Surprisingly the person didn't apologize or help her up. She was enraged and wanted to yell at the person but when she looked up she saw cold blue jeweled eyes glaring at her.

She immediately lowered her head and said. "Greetings to the sun of the Obelian empire" She said aware of who the person is. 'My father' She thought then thoughts over lapped her. What if he kills me. What if I get exposed. She thought, and it was true Claude was planning to kill her. Until she looked up at him. His eyes grew wide as he whispered. "D-Diana" He muttered out a voice bellow his breath that no one but him could hear, he could swear that he saw his lover, he blinked and instead of magenta eyes the eyes were blue and the girl was younger than Diana. For a second he swore he could see sapphires in the eyes of the child, until he blinked again and the girls eyes were just blue. Athanasia was to scared, and anxious to speak, and memories of Claude and Diana just flooded through him. He closed his eyes and held his head. He turned around and walked away. Leaving Athanasia on the floor. Once he was out of sight Athanasia sighed out of relief. 'That was close' She thought as she stood up and rushed to her room.

The next Day

Jeannette could swear that her father had changed over night. I mean he was still cold to her before but this, was extreme even for him. He had made the two of them kneel (Jeannette, and Ivanna) Before a few nobles and left them humiliated. The emperor had just shown the noble that none of the princesses were in favor with him. And among those nobles was Dannielle, and Daniela. 

The rumors were true he favors the princesses depending on how he favored their mothers and the last time everyone checked Diana was the most favored. Dannielle knew that Claude would react happily to Athanasia. But what kept her from telling Claude about Athanasia' s existence was 'Why did she come running for help?  Why did Diana ask for us to keep Athanasia.' She thought on and on.
