A Secret Princess [WMMAP fanfic]

Part 11

Athanasia sat lazily on the couch in the emerald palace. The servants and knights who were watching her thought she seemed pretty relaxed. But that was not the case. The thoughts in the newly crowned princess mind would shock them all. It was around 6:20 am and the emerald palace would be allowing visitors at 7:00 am according to the time table Jeannette had helped set for Athanasia. The first person Athanasia would be seeing was Jeannette at 6:30 am when they had breakfast together since they lived in the same palace. The next Person Athanasia would be seeing was none other than the emperor along with Lilian York and Felix Robane at 7:00 am to 7:30 am they were to have tea in the garnet palace gardens. Next she was to meet her family, Her grandfather, uncle, aunt, and cousins from 7: 35 am to 8:05 am. Then she would have to rest from around 8:10 am to 10:00 am. Then she would have to start to prepare from 10:00 am to 11:20 am to head to the temple for her royal blood to be proven to the continent. and at exactly 12:00 pm then she would stand under the sunroof and perform the ritual. then from 12:10 pm to 1:50 pm she would rest from the after effects of the ritual. Then from 3:45 pm she would meet her second cousin on her dads side. Alina Rowlands until 4:48 pm. And then the rest of the day would be hers. 

And at that moment Athanasia was praying for 4:48 pm to come quickly, The room was in silence until they heard a knock on the door. Athanasia sat up straight as two young ladies came into her view. They bowed down and slowly started to speak "We greet the shining star of the Obelian empire" they said as they kept their heads bowed.

"You may rise" Athanasia said it was the basic imperial etiquette her nanny back in Sidonia had taught her.

"Your highness please allow us to escort you to the dining hall." The two young ladies said Athanasia nodded her head and stood up. she was escorted to to the dining hall and had a quick meal with Jeanette making small talk here and there. Then the most awkward moment of the day arrived the tea party.

TEA PARTY

When Athanasia arrived at the garnet palace she was greeted by three adults. The emperor Claude De Alger Obelia, The knight of crimson blood Felix Robane, And the Silent flower of high society Lilian York. Athanasia sat down in the presence of these important figures but she could feel it. Even though Athanasia was a child that lived secretly she was still very good at reading the room. And this was the very first time in her entire life that Athanasia felt naïve.

'Mother just what did you do' the girl thought as she felt the eyes of these adults on her. She kept her head lowered to show her respect towards the three.  Athanasia knew that no one in their right mind would accept her with out her proving herself. It was completely understandable for them to be able to talk to Athy when she was just a noble lady. But it wasn't the same when she was the daughter of the emperor and also the descendant of an Sidonian Duke. Her blood ties were significantly useful in the political world. And also her existence was a relief for Obelia and its throne. But this was a completely unfair situation for Ivana.

Ivana's existence as a princess had been acknowledged and she was given the name De Alger Obelia. But she was treated completely differently.

Athanasia became the first in line for the throne replacing Jeannette, but Ivana slept in the guest rooms of the diamond palace unfitting for a princess. Athanasia Got a room in the Emerald palace while Ivana couldn't be able to pick her own living space. Ivana had to live with the pain of bieng neglected while Athanasia is having tea with the emperor after her first day. This was all too similar.

The pupils of Athanasia' s eyes started to shake that very moment. As she recalled the horrible memories of her past life.

NEGLECT, PAIN, SUFFERING

And all of that was happening to Ivana now and she just couldn't stand it. It was not fair. At that moment Athanasia raised her head and looked straight into Claude's eyes with the worst glare possible. 'Two different dimensions and this fucker still has no manners' she thought. The pressure in the room increased  to the point nobody could breathe any more.

"Your Majesty." Athanasia said in a stern no nonsense tone Claude who was slightly shocked by this atmosphere raised an eyebrow towards the girl in front of him.

"I wish to challenge for the throne" That one sentence made even the crickets stop creaking. The soon to be crown princess had just declared that she would be challenged for the throne. Moments of dead silence passed by and the cold hearted emperor gave his reply.

"Very well" was the only thing he said and just like that the continents most powerful country's succession was left un decided after just one moment of silence. That moment of silence and peace really defined the saying a calm before the storm.

I'm back with yet another chapter, sorry but we might have to delay the wholesome moment a little bit cuase my ass just realized how Hella unfair I was bieng soo yeyah hope ya'll enjoy.
