Kai's Crusade - Chapter 2 - Humanity's past

"When will he wake up?"

"He is only a human, it will take him a while."

"Wait, he's a human?! Why is he here then?!"

"Because, the master saw talent inside him," the voice started to whisper, "And I heard that when he was born, he destroyed part of the planet he was living on!"

"Impossible, only Holy Lords possess such power!"

"I know, how could a human be so powerful-"

I heard a loud slam of doors opening and then another a second later from the doors closing.

"He is awake! I can feel it!" The new person said.

"Master." Both the people who were talking earlier said, and I heard movement as well. I finally gathered enough strength to open my eyes, the first thing I saw was a light from a lamp shining from above me. Like in a dentistry.

I looked to my right and saw 2 figures bowing on the floor, and on my left was a large man, with a long white beard and he was staring straight at me.

"Rise." He said, and the 2 figures on my right rose up.

Before anyone could say anything I said "What's wrong with humans?"

"I'm sorry?" The master said, slightly startled.

"The 2 people on my right were saying that I was 'just a human', so what's wrong with humans?"

The Master chuckled, "Razz, Joey, exit the room please."

"Master?" Razz said.

"I said leave the room, guard the door." The Master replied.

"Are you sure? We shouldn't leave you al-"

"Are you suggesting that I am incapable of defending myself? Especially against a human?"

"N-No Master, we will leave straight away." Razz and Joey stood up and hurried out of the room.

The Master sighed, "Now, back to your question. There is nothing wrong with humans. Infact, what I'm about to tell you might suggest the opposite. In the Galaxy of Deities, hu-"

"Wait a minute, galaxy of deities, am I in a different galaxy?" I asked, shocked to my core.

"Oh, yes. You lived in the Milky Way Galaxy, that's what you called it. We call it the Abode of the Weak. This is where humans mainly live and weak creatures."

"Anyway, in the Galaxy of Deities, all types of creatures that have sentience believe that humans are the weakest sentient beings. Although in most cases this is true, the past of humans emits great pressure on the oldest beings of the universe, their power is all that keeps humans alive. You see, humans were the most powerful creatures. Have you ever heard of the Three Supreme Races?" He asked.

I shook my head.

"Well, the Three Supreme Races are supposedly the strongest races, the name is quite self-explanatory. These three races are elves, giants and dragonborn. Elves are much like humans but have intense magical power and have extremely enhanced bodies. The giants are huge creatures, the weak ones can't control their body form, and look like huge amplifications of other creatures, I heard there was an ambient giant on the place you came from, Earth. He called himself the Kraken."

My eyes widened, "If the Kraken is a weak giant what can a strong giant turn into?"

"It's the other way around actually, the weak giants have forms like the Kraken. Stronger giants look like huge humans. And extremely strong giants can even make their forms small and completely imitate a human body. The reason why people think humans are so weak is because they see humans as a prototype and elves, giants and dragonborn as an evolved version, and other races that aren't in the Three Supreme Beings as well."

"But what makes a giant weak?" I queried.

"Well, weak giants who can't control their form can't do so because they have limited access to magic. All giants have access to magic but some of them have stronger links, which makes them stronger giants. Do you understand?"

"Yes, but you will have to explain to me what magic is as well."

"After, I explain to you everything else. Now, to the dragonborn. I assume you know what dragons are?"

"Yes, they're hailed as legendary creatures in my world."

"And that they are, I'm not sure how myths about dragons came to your world, since they are pretty scarce in this galaxy as well. But almost everyone knows that dragons where one of the most powerful creatures in existence, before they died out because of the environment. You see, dragons need very specific environments, there are ice and fire dragons. You can imagine what environments they need, and how much food they need. So, they are extremely rare and not a lot of places are good enough to inhabit one. Dragonborn are humanoid creatures with dragon-like features. Imagine, a half-dragon, half-human. The strongest ones look more human, and the weaker ones look more like a dragon. Do you notice a theme?"

"That the strongest creatures in the races look more like humans?" I guessed.

"Yes! Exactly, no one seems to be able to make that link. But you can, since you are a human, and indisposed to stereotypes. Now, to the past of the humans. Humans, used to control the Three Supreme Races. There was nothing special about them. Except for their intense magical power, and their ability to limitlessly enhance their bodies. At first, it was peaceful, the Three Supreme Races were content with being controlled by humans, as they saw them as the superior race, they thought it was relatively fair. Bu then, a man rose from the dragonborn, his name was Ugor. And he started a rebellion, first, he took over the dragonborn, and became the King of them. By means of a duel with the King of that time, of course he won. Then, he started to influence the Elves and Giants, the Giants were easier to sway, because they are destructive by nature. But eventually, he swayed the Elves as well.

"They used all their power to suppress humans. Even that wasn't enough to get rid of them. The leaders of the humans evacuated the humans outside of the galaxy. Places like Earth. The Three Supreme Beings gathered afterwards and cursed the remaining humans to be magicless and their offspring as well. However, what they did not know, was that the leader of the humans had escaped. He had created a magical version of himself that the enemies' thought was his real corpse. It faded away years later and that's when they realized that he was alive, and he had cursed them, saying that he would return, that he would be resurrected into the body of a newborn human and would destroy the Three Supreme Beings entirely. I was with him wen he cursed them..."

I was too shocked to speak, but after a few seconds, I managed to utter a few words "M-Master, how long ago was this?"

"151 million years ago."
