Your name is Y/n L/n. You've known Camilo your whole life, when you were young and your family and the madrigals were the only family's in town who had magical powers 'gifts'. Now you realise that maybe Camilo is more than just your childhood friend
Today is the day. I'm gonna ask y/n to marry me. I woke up beside them and wrapped my arms around their waist. I kissed there neck then got up to start getting everything ready. I left a box of chocolates and a birthday card on the dresser for when y/n woke up.
I got dressed and went outside to the main hall of the Casita. My mami, Tia Juileta and Tio Bruno were all in the kitchen talking. It seemed kind of privet so I just hid behind a plant so I could see them. "I'm so happy that my hijo. I can't believe he's planning on marrying y/n and their such a lovely person." My mami said folding some towels.
"Yeah, I think they will be really good for him. They may even be able to help him with the children around the village." Tio Bruno seemed to be really excited. I got out from the bush and headed out towards the river to set up for the proposal.
Dolores was with me just incase y/n showed up. I knew they loved to walk around in the woods so the chance of them coming across it was likely.
Thankfully they didn't. I asked Dolores to listen to y/n to see where they were. "Their in the village, playing with some of the kids. Looking for you." I quickly ran back to the casita and got changed into a tuxedo and left a note on the bed for y/n.
Y/NS POV
I saw Mirabel and ran over to her. "Hey Mirabel, have you seen Camilo. He told me he'd be with the children, but I can't find him." She turned to me and smiled. "He told me he was going back to Casita to change before going to the carnival."
I thanked her and headed back to the Casita. When I walked into our room I saw a note:
Mi amor,
I got you a dress, I think you'll really like it. Please put it on and go to the clearing by the river, where we first met.
Your novio, Camilo
He was so sweet, buying me a new dress. It was gorgous, it was long, pale blue, silky.

I put it on and tied my hair up into a twisted messy bun. I walked out of the casita and walked into the woods.
When I finally came to the clearing I saw Camilo, stood in front of a table with various foods on it. "Happy birthday, Mi amor." I had tears in my eyes and walked over to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck, he placed his hands on my waist. "You look beautiful." I smiled and blushed slightly. It made me happy that he could still make me feel like this even though we hand bee together for a long time.
"Thank you, mi vida." I kissed him passionately. He kissed me back.
CAMILOS POV
We sat at the table and ate some of the food. From the corner of my eye, I saw Dolores, Isabella, Mirabel, Luica, Mami, papi and Tia Juileta hiding behind a bush. I got nervous and was wondering if y/n would see them.
After we ate almost all the food we went on a walk along side the river. I could see the family following us behind the bushes. It was a good thing that y/n was holding onto my arm with their head on my shoulder. After a while we stopped, "Camilo, why'd we stop? There's still at least a couple more minutes until we reach the bridge?" Before y/n could turn around I was down on one knee in front of them.
I could see that they had started crying already, "Mi amor, don't cry on me already. I haven't even said anything." They giggled and wiped away their tears. "Y/n L/n, ever since I first met you, you have been the most important person in my life. When you became my novia, I was over the moon and I couldn't believe that you said yes. So, will you make me even happier than you already do and marry me?"
They smiled and started crying more, "Of course, idiota." I stood up and placed the ring on y/ns finger and the wedding band on mine. They wrapped their arms around my neck and kissed me passionately, I kissed them back wrapping my arms around their waist. We suddenly heard the family start cheering and clapping.
"So none of you actually had chores?" We all started to laugh except y/n. "No we didn't." "Everyone was helping you with this?" I smiled and nodded. "I kinda knew that Tia Juileta helped because of the arepas and I know you can't cook to save your life."
We all walked back to the Casita and as the door opened we saw Abuela, Tio Augustine and Antonio. The house was filled with different flowers and lights. "Welcome to the familia, y/n." Abuela Alma gave me a massive hug and I hugged back.
"Well are you happy now, Mr Madrigal?" They said wrapping their arms around my neck. "Very, soon to be Mrs Madrigal."
We had a massive party to celebrate and the whole village was invited. Afterwards, we all said our good nights and went to our rooms. When me and y/n had gotten to our room we got changed into our pjs and got into bed, "I love you, Camilo." They said, burying their head into my chest. "I love you too, Mi amor."
Y/NS POV
I lay with my head on Camilos chest for a while, I looked up to see him with his eyes closed. "Camilo.... Are you awake?" I whispered so that if he was asleep he wouldn't wake up. "Yeah, I am. What's wrong?" He opened his eyes and looked at me. "What made you want to marry me so suddenly? You said you weren't ready to get married." He looked at me and laughed.
"I know it was wrong but I was only saying it to make it more of a surprise." I sat up and looked at him. "I'm mad at you for lying but I'm happy." He laughed more. I started to laugh along with him and looked at the clock. 4am. We would have to get up soon so I gave him a kiss and layed back down. I put my hand into my sight of vision and stared at it. "It's so pretty...." He wrapped his hand around mine. "Just like you, mi Vida."
