Alyssa sighed as soon as she spotted Connor walking into hospitality. A glance over at Seb confirmed he had turned in his seat and was keeping a close eye on the young Irish strategist.

Alyssa shook her head in disbelief.  Why was Seb so bloody hung up on Connor? It's not as if she was interested in any one other than him.

Seb caught Alyssa watching him and turned his attention back to Antti and Britta, who were sat at the table with him.

"White coffee please Aly," Connor said as he reached the counter.

"It's Alyssa," she reminded him gently.

"What? Why? Because your boyfriend says so?"

"No, because I say so," she said, annoyed.  "Seb's right, only he calls me that. Only he has ever called me that."

"I don't get why it's such a big deal but yeah, whatever Alyssa. Just tell your boyfriend to watch his mouth. You  want to be careful of him. He's possessive, bordering on obsessive.  He wants to control you.  He doesn't like you talking to anyone."

"Connor, just fuck off will you.  You're beginning to annoy me now.  He is nothing like that."

"Well don't say I didn't warn you. You're being naive Alyssa. And if he speaks to me again like he did in Miami I will be reporting him.   Just because he's a four time world champion doesn't mean he can throw his weight around like he does."

Alyssa sighed as Connor walked off. She knew Seb could be a bit possessive over her but was he really as bad as Connor made out? She tried to look at it from an outsider's point of view.

Yes, he got jealous very easily, but he had no problem with her talking to other people. There had been the odd time when he'd been a bit on the whiney side about going out on a Sunday after the race but she couldn't really blame him for that. He was probably exhausted and all he wanted was to curl up and cuddle.

No, Connor was seeing things that weren't there. Seb just didn't like other guys trying it on with his girlfriend, which was fair enough. She'd feel the same way if other women were trying it on with him.

She could see why Connor might think he was controlling, but he wasn't. Only when they were in bed, and that was something she loved.

She glanced over at him and caught him staring at her. Damn, why did he have to be so fit? His hair needed cutting again, his curls were wild. She'd never known someone whose hair grew so fast.

The beard could stay. It made him look more rugged and wild and....

"Stop it Alyssa," she muttered under her breath, finally tearing her eyes off of him and getting back to her work. There would be plenty of time to eye him up later...minus clothes.

She went back into the kitchen with a smug grin on her face thinking of the evening ahead of them, quickly forgetting all about Connor and the thoughts he'd provoked.

Seb watched out the corner of his eye as Connor approached Alyssa.  He made a fist under the table, forcing himself to stay in his seat and not go charging over there.

He had no idea what Britta and Antti were talking about.  All of his attention was on the conversation at the counter.

Alyssa didn't look very happy.  What had Connor said to her?   Then Connor stomped off.  Whatever Alyssa had said back to him hadn't gone down very well.

He turned slightly so he was looking straight at her.  That's when she turned around and caught him.  Damn, why was she so beautiful?  She was distracting him from what he was meant to be doing.   He turned back to Antti and Britta.  Tonight he would be able to enjoy Alyssa.  Until then he had to focus on what he was there to do.
