POV: Hobi
When he first heard Taehyung's frantic thoughts, his dance moves faltered slightly and he had to prevent himself from immediately running backstage. Y/N looks so hurt! He could hear Taehyung practically screaming into his ear. Why can't Sejin see her? She's dreaming??? Now he understood why Taehyung hadn't rejoined them as scheduled.
He looked at his other soulmates. Yoongi paled, looking around to find the source of his pain and panic. When he looked at Hobi, Hobi nodded his head backstage. Should we go back and find out what's going on? Hobi smiled briefly at his smart soulmate. Of course, he would know that he could communicate with Hobi by thinking specific thoughts.
Hobi thought about the question. An instance like this made him so glad that he had been blessed with his dream of hearing their thoughts. Should they interrupt the concert? He shook his head. He free-style danced up to Namjoon and whispered in his ear, "Tae needs you." Namjoon looked at him. Due to his long association with him, Hobi could see the shock in his eyes, but Namjoon plastered a smile on his face for ARMY. They knew it would take a moment because he had his rap solo coming up quickly.
Why isn't Joonie coming? I need him! Taehyung's panic was starting to bleed through and Hobi didn't know how to help him. If Y/N was dreaming, that meant she wasn't there. But if she was hurt, where was she?
Taehyung's desperation was making Hobi really agitated. He finally sent out his own question. If she's dreaming, where is her body?
Hobi? came Taehyung's shaky voice. How...? It doesn't matter right now... Her head's bleeding and she looks so hurt. What should I do?
If she's hurt... He didn't like where this line of reasoning was taking him. That means someone took her. Hobi had never been so grateful that he practiced so hard at their choreography that he could have this extra conversation and not miss a beat. What's the last thing she remembered before appearing at the concert?
Listening to Y/N try to comfort Taehyung nearly broke him. Her only thought was for their care and comfort. As he listened to Y/N's answers through Taehyung, he was upset because he realized that he couldn't hear her. He continued to feed questions to their distressed soulmate. Knowing that Im Ahnjong had locked her somewhere didn't really surprise him. He swore that they were going to go over security footage when they finished their first "last song". How had she reached Y/N? He couldn't understand how this had happened twice since they'd been in Chicago. The security that had been hired must not have seen her as important enough to warrant their full attention... or they'd been paid off.
Hobi! Hobi! I don't think she can hold on much longer! Taehyung sounded like he was about to break. Hobi didn't know if he would have handled it much better.
He went over to Namjoon and lowered their microphones. "Namjoon, go now! Yoongi and I will cover your solo." Yoongi heard him and nodded emphatically. Hobi practically pushed Namjoon backstage. Tae baby, Joonie's on his way. Be calm. You did so good!
He's here! Taehyung's voice was filled with gratitude and relief, but that quickly turned. Y/N! No!!! Hobi's heart broke at his tender soulmate's pain and grief. However, now he had to focus on their performance as it was nearly time for their first rest period. He and Yoongi put their heart and soul into Namjoon's lyrics, not wanting their personal pain to ruin this time for ARMY. ARMY were the ones that supported them when they started and at their lowest point. They needed to give them what they were due.
As they finally finished, they held their hands up and descended on the lift. Hobi and Yoongi rushed to Taehyung's side as he was wailing onto Namjoon's shoulder. The rest of their soulmates gathered around them with Sejin and Jeny hovering around them and keeping other staff away from them.
