Christmas Day
Catalina wasn't sure on what to get aunt May so she decided she'd go with the safer option of making one of authentic dishes and buying flowers. Catalina also wasn't sure on how to approach her due to her not having much parental guide growing up.
"Hey. what are you making?" Peter asked as he entered the kitchen "I'm making some Enchiladas, can't just show up empty handed." She said while preparing the food "I'm sure aunt May wouldn't mind if you didn't make food." She abruptly stopped "I just think it's a polite thing to do."
"Can I help?"
Peter had helped Catalina by handing her the ingredients needed and she had shown him how to do the dish, he tried his best to not get in her way while cooking and she thought it was a nice gesture, suddenly the phone started ringing making the brunette boy go answer the phone.
"Hello? ... Oh hey Aunt May."
"Hey Peter, just checking up on you and seeing if you and your friend are still coming over tonight." He could hear her silently laugh and the term 'friend' she used.
"Yeah yeah, Catalina is um cooking something but we're still on tonight."
"Oh sweetie she didn't have too I just cooked some your favorite foods we have plenty, are you helping?"
"Yup um that's somewhat of what I told her and yeah I am actually."
"Oh good she's keeping you on your feet, I like her already." This had made Peter chuckle
"Yeah shes pretty good at that, see you soon May gotta head back to being a chef."
"Alright honey, see you soon."
And with that he hung up the phone and going back to the same spot next to the Latina who had put the food in the oven "Was that your Tia?" She asked putting the ingredients back in there place with the help of the boy next to her.
"Yeah yeah that was her." he said while putting something in the pantry while she was biting her nails anxiously leaning against the counter "Hey there's nothing to be worried about." While massaging her shoulder for reassurance "I know you've only told me that like a million times, I just don't have a good approach when meeting parents." This had made Peter put both hands on her shoulder to her to look at him.
"May us going to love you Catalina, it's hard for someone to not like you." This had somehow made Catalina smile "Thanks, um I'm gonna go get ready." She said giving him a sign that she was moving away
