Except I have no discipline and no deadlines to meet so I really just left you guys hanging for such a long time. LOVE YOU ALL THANK YOU FOR READING 🥰 (also sorry about this next cliffhanger lol)

Adrian decided that he would not sleep until he found out the truth about Atlas. Nova never slept. How hard could it be?

Evidently, very hard. He didn't know where to start. Adrian truly feared that he had been lied to again about a friend being an Anarchist. He felt himself becoming more tired as he tried to research Atlas' past. Her full name and pronouns, Atalanta "Atlas" Estevez, (she/they) Age, 17. Birthday, April 20th. Her parents (Maria and Jaime Estevez, both deceased), her siblings (Rosetta 7, Lana 8, Louis 18, all deceased), and her friends (the Renegades). Nova's justification of being an Anarchist was the deaths of her parents and sister, but he knew that he could not compare Atlas to Nova. It wasn't fair to either of them.

Atlas was soft. She could do no wrong. She did not even attend combat training with the Renegades, but instead helped feel schools and hospitals with her gift.

Adrian learned nothing new from the two hours that he spent staring at his screen, so instead decided to visit Nova at her apartment.

"How?" Nova asked appalled at the revelation.

She did not question it. She somehow felt that her sister was sitting in front of her, tears in her eyes, reflected by the shininess in her own.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, stirring Nova from her thoughts.

"Hey Leroy, is Nova here?" Adrian's faint voice could be heard by Nova and Maggie.

"Yeah, she and Magpie are in her bedroom." Came Leroy's response.

Nova got up from her bed, wiped away her tears, and went to go meet Adrian at the door. "Stay here," she whispered to Maggie as she wiped her tears.

"Hey Adrian, this isn't really a good time." Nova said. Maggie could only hear half on the conversation until she got up from the bed too.

"Are you okay? Why are you crying?"

"Oh I'm more than okay, and I love you so much and I don't mean to send you away, but I just want some alone time with Maggie.

I want to get to know her better. Like I said, I love you, and this has nothing to do with me not being around you. I'll talk to you later?"

"Of course, Nova. We'll get together soon, I'll call you in the morning. I love you," he said with a kiss on her cheek, bidding her goodnight.

Nova felt like a child as she frowned because of the kiss. "Can I get a real one please?" she asked emphatically. And with that, Adrian gave her a nice real kiss.

A moment later, Nova came back into the room with some snacks somewhat giddily. She was still surprised the way she reacted to Adrian, and how they were able to be together. But she turned serious as she addressed her sister on her bed.

"I wish that we could stay in this room and compare life stories and whatever it is long lost sisters do, but we really have to find Buffet. We are Renegades. We have to help. She is innocent, and should have never been caught up in Anarchist business.

I'll ask Leroy for help too. He may be a little... his age number may be a little high, but he was also an Anarchist. And of course, I will need your help."

"Of course I will help. You losers will never find your bracelet without me... so... our dad made it?" Maggie asked curiously.

"Yes he did. His powers stemmed from the stars. At least, that's what I always thought. He would always pull strings of what seemed like pure strings of stars from the sky, and he would make great and powerful things out of them. Did you know that he made Ace's helmet?"

"He's our uncle," Maggie said suddenly, as if this realization had just dawned on her.

"Yes, and we are not like him. Yes, we are all determined, and ambitious, but that is where our similarities end. Do not think for a second that either of us will end up like him. I know I definitely do not tell you this enough, but you are not evil. You most definitely get on my nerves a lot, but I genuinely think it's because the universe is giving us these arguments to make up for the fact that it separated us for so long.

I believe everything happens for a reason. We can totally make up for lost time, we just have to-"

She was interrupted by the sound of their wristbands going off at the same time. Apparently, there were prodigies causing trouble, and Sketch's team is the closest with two members being nearby, her and Adrian, given that he had just left her apartment.

Her phone went off with a text from Adrian, saying that he'd meet her there and that he was sure this would be insignificant. (😉spoiler, it will be very important). She told Ev- Maggie- to stay here with Leroy, and that she'd be right back.

"Uh- no I am totally capable of being in the field. Don't leave me here by myself," Maggie protested as she was getting her shoes back on.

"Uh- no you... okay, you can come, but you are not a part of Sketch's team, so you will not engage. Stay away and out of sight."

30 Minutes Later...

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

"RUN" Adrian shouted at Magpie, and then he went back to wrapping up Nova's bloody appendages. She had bat bites all over her body. Maggie thought she was unconscious.

Suddenly, Maggie couldn't see anything.  Total blackness and she couldn't see where she was running. She heard lightning and she heard thunder, but she still couldn't see anything. She felt the water rising, she heard the shouts, she smelled the fires coming from the burning building that she was still running from, but all she saw was total darkness.
