Leroy Still Exists

Heyyyyyy okay swag I'm writing this pretty late and I know this whole plot leading up to the reveal is super slow but we should be there super soon? Fun fact, I have a turtle named Leroy named after Cyanide! I added a picture above! Vote and comment, if you want ☺️🤍

Nova arrived at her apartment pretty late, but Leroy was still awake. They lived together after the battle, not because he was the only other remaining Anarchist, but because he was the only family she had left.

"Hey, Leroy." Nova greeted him as she flopped onto the couch.

"Are you okay?" He asked her.

"No. An eleven year old girl stole my bracelet and then lied about it." She responded. "I'm not going to rest until I get it back, but I don't know where to start. My father made that bracelet. It is invaluable. I can't just- not have it."

"I know."

"And the girl who allegedly stole it is the one who I would go to if I lost it, but she said that she didn't take it. I don't believe her because she has tried to steal so many times in the past. Just as we were starting to get on good terms. She's actually kind of nice and not as much of a brat as I originally thought. Except for the fact that she stole my bracelet."

"Are you sure?" He asked her.

"What do you mean?"

"How do you know that she stole it?"

"Because it's Magpie. How many times have I mentioned that that girl is very annoying. Her entire job is based on finding the value in things." She responded.

"Hm. That's an interesting power. How'd she get that?" He asked.

"I don't know. Maybe she was born with it. I think she mentioned a bullet? I don't know." She said again, somewhat angrily. "I'm going out."

"Come on, Nova. You've been out for two days. I don't have a problem with it, but I haven't seen you in a while." He said.

"Awe. Do you miss me, Leroy?"

"Obviously. My life is so unbearably boring without you."

Nova grabbed a bag and walked over to him.

"Bye, Leroy. I love you. Don't wait up for me." She kissed his cheek.

"I love you too. Don't get yourself killed." He replied.

"Don't you know who you're talking to," she replied with a smirk.

Nova walked around Gatlon for hours thinking about Maggie.

Why would she completely destroy the extremely unstable relationship that we just built to steal my bracelet? It just doesn't make sense.

"Looking for this?" A girl in the shadows held her bracelet. "Hello Nightmare."

"Who are you?" Nova said.

"Someone who hates you. You joined the Renegades and betrayed Ace Anarchy. You betrayed us. He was killed because of you," she said.

"He killed my family" Nova rebutted.

"He was a revolutionist. A legend. An inspiration for all of the feared prodigies who are hated by society and the Renegades."

"He was a murderer."

"You betrayed us." The girl in the shadows said again

"Who even are you?"

The girl stepped out of the shadows to reveal Atlas, the nice person who greeted everyone at the ball that evening. But then her face changed. Into Nova's? And then changed into Ace's. Then back to Atlas's

"What the hell?"

Nova promised Leroy that she wouldn't die, but she needed her bracelet.

Nova sprang on Atlas, but was met with giant spikes forming a wall around her.

"What the actual hell." Nova cursed.

She stopped just in front of the spikes, and ran away hoping that Atlas would chase her.

If that was even them.

Atlas's power was summoning food, not being a chameleon and shifting faces.

Unless...

It was morning now, so Renegades HQ is open. She sprinted there, and her friends were already in the lobby.

"Nova? What's wrong?" Ruby saw her first.

"We have a huge problem" Nova said, out of breath.

Sorry that this is super short I just wanted to get it done tonight. Woah plot twist my OC is a villain? Or are they? Who knows? Even I don't know yet. Reveal coming soon ;)
