Kris: My prince.
Ralsei: My knight.
Kris opened their eyes a little and saw Ralsei smiling at them while holding their hand.
Kris: Why are you still here?
Ralsei: Because I love you and I would never leave you like this. How do you feel?
Kris: A bit better...
Ralsei: Good, but you need to rest, just go back to sleep, i'll always be here.
Kris: No...
Ralsei: Kris please, you need to rest.
Kris: No...
Ralsei: Don't make me sing my lullaby.
Kris: Pffft... like you could make me fall asleep.
Ralsei: Oh really? Let's see.
Ralsei sang his lullaby again and even if Kris didn't want to, they fell asleep to rest some more. Ralsei just stayed with Kris and an hour later Toriel walked in with a nurse, Toriel was surprised to see Ralsei there but he did love Kris a lot so there would be no way he would leave them for long.
Toriel: How are they?
Ralsei: They're feeling a bit better, but they need to rest some more, they refused but I sang them to sleep with my lullaby.
Toriel: Oh, well it's good that they're feeling a bit better, how long have you been here for?
Ralsei: Since midnight, that was when I woke back up.
Toriel: Thank you Ralsei, I don't say it a lot but I want you to know i'm very thankful for all you've done for Kris and everyone else.
Ralsei: It's no problem Toriel, Kris has made me feel so special so I have to repay them somehow.
Toriel sat on the other chair in the room and continued to talk to Ralsei quietly not to wake Kris up and Ralsei was still holding onto Kris' hand, or was Kris holding onto Ralsei's paw? Who knows. Many more hours passed and more people came and went after hearing about what happened to Kris, but Ralsei stayed by their side, no matter how tired he felt, he would never leave Kris, not for one day.
The only time Ralsei did leave was when he was hungry and got some food from the vending machines, but he came straight back to Kris and stayed with them even during his lunch. More hours passed and it was very quiet like always, Ralsei was struggling to keep himself awake but he remained awake until Kris woke back up.
Kris: Ralsei...
Ralsei: Kris?
Kris: Leave, go to bed...
Ralsei: No *yawn* i'm staying with you *yawn*
Kris: Ralsei please... just do it for me... nothing's going to happen to me... i'm safe...
Ralsei: No, not until *yawn* you are out of bed.
Kris: Then you will have to wait... more days...
Ralsei: That's fine, i'll wait until the end of time if I have to *yawn*.
Kris:... Nuts...
Ralsei: Nuts?
Kris: Almost died to nuts, what a stupid way to go...
Ralsei: Hehe, Kris! Was that what you've been eating?
Kris: Mhm...
Ralsei: What type of nut?
