Deku knows that they were never truly dating but he couldn't help but fall for Kirishima, he remembers crying at night after realizing he never had a chance with him.

Deku tried dating other people but he looks at him and just sees a future with him, he knows he shouldn't date other people when he's obviously not over Kirishima but he felt lonely at times and he just didn't want to feel alone anymore.

He sighed deeply glancing at his current boyfriend, his name was Kai he treated him with respect treated him like he was everything.

it was nice but he wasn't Kirishima, no one could fill the void he felt after everything went down, he remembers it like it was yesterday.

He tried so hard to not think about it, he got up from his bed going to the bathroom shutting the door quietly sliding down the door tearing up slightly 'fucking idiot' he mumbles to himself.

He needed to talk with Kirishima, he just needs Kirishima to tell him they will never happen and maybe he could move on after that it sounds like a good plan right?

He closed his eyes and his mind goes to when everything went down.

"I don't understand why you're so damn upset!" Kirishima spoke chasing after Deku "it doesn't matter" he mumbled whipping his tears away "it obviously does if you're acting out." 

"I'm not acting out" Deku raised his shaky voice sniffing "are you in love with him?" "what?" "are you in love with Kaminari because if so that's cool! I just wish you would've told me sooner before I got in the way and shit" "we were just kissing it doesn't mean anything really" 

Deku rolled his eyes turning around "a kiss always means something, it might've not meant something to you but it could've meant something to Kaminari"

"Kaminari knows I don't like him like that... Why can't you just tell me what's going on huh?" Kirishima frowned resting his soft hand on Deku's cheek; how does he have such soft hands? Deku wonders if he ever puts lotion on his hands to make them soft and not dry skin.

Deku closed his eyes for a moment then pulled away looking down "I have to go Kiri-" "Deku just tell me what the hell is going on"

"Just leave okay... I don't want to do this anymore" "w-what?" Kirishima asked in disbelief "I don't want to be fuck buddies anymore okay! So please just leave me alone" "did I do something wrong?" Deku looked back at him shaking his head "we both know it was gonna end" Deku whispered.

"Just leave me alone okay?" Deku mumbled turning around and walking away from a speechless Kirishima.

Deku knew he would regret his decision but he couldn't continue the relationship when he was deeply in love with him.

He wanted him in his life but he couldn't think he could do it if Kirishima was in love with someone else.

Deku sighed knocking on Kirishima's door, it's been months since he last talked with him.

Kirishima answered the door with bags under his eyes "Zuku?" He asked tilting his head "hey... can come in? it's kinda pouring out here" he mumbled rubbing his arms.

Kirishima nodded opening the door wider as Deku walked in taking off his wet jacket "if I knew it was pouring out there I would've bought an umbrella" he grumbled "Zuku?" "the worst part is I had to walk a few blocks so, of course, I'm fucking soaking-" "IZUKU!" Kirishima raised his voice Deku froze frowning "um, yeah?" he whispered, "what are you doing here?" 

Deku looked over at Kirishima "I missed you" he whispered as Kirishima rolled his eyes "now you're fucking ready to talk?" "well yeah-" "I waited for you to pick up your phone, I waited for months for you to be ready I can't do this"

Deku frowned "please can we talk" he mumbled out stepping forward "just give me five minutes?" Kirishima sighed nodding "fine" 

Deku walked into the kitchen sitting down playing with his fingers "do you want anything to drink?" "no I'm fine... um, I'm dating someone named Kai he treats me well" "good for you?" Kirishima was confused why would he mention that, he knew that Deku wouldn't really want him as a partner "but he's not you" Deku whispered.

"wait what?" Kirishima asked finally sitting across from him "he's not you okay?" Deku sighed looking away biting down on his lip.

"Deku you can't be serious right now" Kirishima scoffed "you ended whatever we had-" "exactly! we weren't together officially you never hinted that you liked me more than a fuck buddy whenever you were stressed at work you'd call me and we'd fuck that's it nothing more than that then you would leave the next morning what was I supposed to think?" Deku sighed looking at him tears in his eyes.

"I never thought I would have a chance" he whispered whipping away his tears "I know it's dumb but-" Kirishima cupped his cheeks pulling him in close looking into his eyes.

"are you serious? is that why you got upset when I kissed Kaminari?" "yeah... I was jealous but I didn't know how to tell you"  

Kirishima pushed some of his wet curls out of his face "god I thought I was the only one falling in love" Deku smiles "nope, I've been in love from the start but I just... thought maybe I don't know" Kirishima laughed softly.

"I would kiss you but I don't think I want to be a train wrecker" "I'll allow it besides I dumped him last night" "in that case" Kirishima cupped his cheeks pressing his lips against Deku's.

Deku felt like he was on cloud nine, he should've seen the hints Kirishima was giving him but he wasn't the smartest guy when it came to love or to anyone loving him in the first place.

Kirishima pulled away panting slightly "I'm so glad you came here" "I am too" Deku pecked his lips one last time "does this make us... boyfriends?" "Nope, but I would love to take you on a date first" 

Deku nodded "when?" "right now, we can watch a movie and cuddle... and you can sleepover?" "sounds like a perfect first date to me" he grins.

"all might movie?" "you don't have to watch all might because I enjoy him" he laughed scrunching up his nose slightly "I want to watch him especially if I get to see you smile again I missed your cute smile" Deku kissed his forehead "I'll make sure to smile more often Kir-" "you can call me Eijirou you know?" 

"Okay then, I'll make sure to smile more often Eijirou" he whispered softly.
