Y/NS POV
-------------------------

My dad was passed out on the old couch, he was snoring loudly, and his breath smelled like the bottle. I sighed, and threw a light blanket over him. I quickly scribbled a note and left it on the table saying that I would be back around 10, blew out the candle, and left.

It was now around 6, and the market was still busy, but people began to pack up there things and send their children back home as the sun threatened to set.

The market places' small breeze now had a cold nip to it, I gripped my puffy white sleeves and quickened my pace to the house Mirabel had led me to earlier. Soft conversation and the click of my boots was the only thing I heard as I made it to the looming teal door.

I hesitated before I knocked, did Mirabel's abeula even say yes? If I knocked, was I just going to be sent back home? I took a deep breath before I raised my hand to knock, but before I could the door swung open and Mirabel's face was right in front of my moving hand.

I knocked her right between her eyes, her glasses falling to the ground as she gripped her nose. I jumped back, startled. "Oh god! Mirabel I'm so so so sorry! I didn't- the door- are you-" I panicked with my words as I tried to find Mirabel's glasses with the little bit of sunlight that was left.

"No, no, it's fine y/n.." Mirabel said, though her voice sounded congested as she held onto her nose, her face wrinkled up. I fumbled trying to hand Mirabel her glasses back, then I heard laughing from behind Mirabel.

She was kind of bent over, still gripping her nose, so I could easily look over her to see Camilo in the door way to the house, gripping his side's as he wheezed out laughter.

My face started to feel warm with embarrassment, I darted my eyes away from the laughing boy, and put my hand on Mirabel's back, trying to help her get her glasses back on. She lightly winced as I set the glasses back on her nose bridge.

I subconsciously let out a nervous laugh, "Um, are you ok?" I asked, my words were quick and nervous. This was so embarrassing. She laughed a little too, still sounding congested. "Ow, yeah... Maybe next time don't put so much force into your knocks?" She said, the tone of her voice told me that she was trying to joke, but I could tell her nose hurt as began to hold it again.

Camilo was still laughing away in the door frame, tears now forming at the corners of his eyes, he was having a hard time catching his breath. "Oh... My god! I thought I was going to have to embarrass y/n myself! " He then looked at me, trying to regain composure, "yknow you're pretty good at multitasking! managed to turn yourself redder then a cherry AND put a knot on Mirabel's head, I'm impressed!" He said beginning to laugh again.

I felt my face begin to get red again as my body stiffened. My arm had been on Mirabel's shoulder, since she couldn't see through to fingers that held her nose, but she ripped away from me and pointed at Camilo. "Keep this up and I swear! You're the one who's going to end up with a knot on the back of your head by the end of the night!" She said, frustrated with Camilo's antics.

His eyes went wide, but then he let out a snort and began to laugh again, "Not if you don't break your glasses by then!" he said inbetween laughs. Mirabel let out a grunt of frustration, she pinched her nose bridge, out of pain or being done with Camilo, and grabbed my arm.

"Come on y/n... let's just get ready for dinner before I put Camilo's head through a wall..." She said, I let out a nervous chuckle as Mirabel lead me to the kitchen. i dont want to get on her bad side, noted.
