"Hell yeah, i'd love to come," Ethan replies eagerly. The next thing I new, Reign and Briana were running off telling me and Ethan to meet them at the Diner in 5 minutes. Sal's was only 2 minutes away, so we had time to spare. Ethan glanced at me with a smile on his face and said, "Well what are we waiting for?" as he lead me to his car. I hopped in the passengers seat of his navy blue truck. I sat down, buckled up, and stared out the window at the near full student parking lot. "May I?" I hear Ethan blurt out. I look towards him, then down at my lap to see his hand hovering over my thigh. "Now or never," I laugh, nervously but excited more than anything. He sets his veiny hand on my thigh, and the other on the steering wheel. Ethan's hand is so warm. A sudden rush of adrenaline runs through my body. I've never felt this way about anyone, usually it's just a subtle throb throughout my entire body, but this was different. I haven't felt this safe and at home with someone, let alone my life long best friend. It was like a load dropped off my shoulders, a sudden feeling of eeriness, almost like I was floating. I keep trying to tell myself that it's only his hand on my thigh, but the other part of me is excited to hopefully find out what it feels like when he does other things to me.
Ethan and I arrive at the Diner with 30 minutes of our lunch period to spear. Perfect time for a quick meal then some alone time with him. We meet up with Rein and Briana inside, and get a table for four. Our time at the diner flew by and before I new it we were leaving, in a rush to get to our next class. "I want more time with you, Laina" Ethan says as a grabs my hands, rubbing them with his thumbs. I look up at his beautiful yet intimidating blue eyes, "Why cant we have more?" I say, hoping he will go along with it. Ethan's eyes light up as he pulls out his phone. He hands it to me with our high school's number dialed. "You call them and pretend to be my mom saying that I am leaving early, and I'll do the same for you. Then we can spend the rest of the evening together." he says eagerly. "That actually sounds like a really good idea," I oblige. Holy shit it actually worked.
