he looks so good.

The rest of the week went by painfully slow. Filled with me and Ethan avoiding each other, afraid of confrontation. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, I counted down the hours until Friday came. Finally, the clock in my sixth hour struck 3:00 pm. My heart started racing, knowing that when I get home I would have to start getting ready for the worst evening of my life. Its not even that I didn't want to see Ethan, that is all I wanted right now. It was the fact that I was afraid he wouldn't give me the chance to get what I really meant on Monday when I said everything was platonic cleared up. Once I got home, I ran to my room and put on my favorite sage green lingerie set. Small and dainty green underwear with a matching sage green, C cup, lacy push up bra. I stood in front of my full length mirror, admiring my sleek but curvy figure. The sage green set complemented my eyes, a mix of vibrant green and blue. I quickly slip on my short, black, spaghetti strap, satin dress and my black open toed heals. I then sit in front of my mirror as I curl my long dark brown hair in light beach waves and do my makeup. Right as I finish putting my lipstick on I hear from downstairs, "Laina come downstairs, the Millier's are here!" My heart starts racing again as I start down the stairs, adjusting my dress to show just a bit of my bra strap, in hopes to catch Ethan's eye.

I carefully make my way down the stairs as I look up from my feet and make direct eye contact with Ethan as he walks in the door. His jaw slowly drops as I look him dead in the eyes, walking towards his parents and sister to greet them. "Hey Mr and Mrs. Miller, hey Emilia," I say trying to avoid any more eye contact with Ethan. He looks so good today. He has nice dress pants on with a dark blue dress shirt, that so perfectly complements his icy blue eyes and is chaotic locks of thick, curly, brown hair. "Hello Ethan," I say in a soft voice, hoping he would reciprocate it. "Hey," he says side eyeing me. I knew it, I mean what should I have expected? I accidentally broke his heart, but tonight is the only chance I have of redeeming myself. We all sit down at the dinner table and start a simple conversation. Ethan and I continue to avoid eye contact until Mrs. Miller speaks up, "So Laina, are you interested in anyone?" I choke on my food and manage to spit out, "Oh, um yeah." "How fun! Mind telling us who?" Mrs Miller replies.  "I don't know, I mean I would but I feel that I hurt this person unintentionally. Trying to do what they thought was best when I really had no idea what I was doing," I say. I stay with my head low and slowly look over to Ethan, who is sitting right in front of me. He has his head in his hands as he says, "I'm going to go lay down for a bit." I watch him as he slowly gets up and walks up the stairs, heading to my room. My phone screen then lights up, I look at the screen and see that it's a text from Ethan that reads, "Meet me in your room asap."
