Sofia The First: Once Upon A Royal Knight A Struggle With Impatience

Chapter 6

"Sofia I just had a great idea why don't we instead of having big white banquet tables in the ballroom use small card tables use a rainbow plethora of paper plates no risk of them shattering and ask Gwen to help supply the food during the ball with her inventions like we did for my Berryball."

"Great job, I like it is as useful as these clothes I am making for Aunt Tilly to use for the little one of hers to wear when he grows a little bit bigger and they're very much one of a kind." agreed Sofia.

"And we know Aunt Tilly loves every one of a kind thing in the world beyond measure."

"I'm sending a quarter of these clothes to Bartlebye's childhood home. And a quarter to Grandmum's home and then the rest we'll give to them in person, big sister. But I want James to learn this too. It is vital he does."

"Are boys even capable of sewing?" questioned Amber. "Forget I said that I was just thinking about how he didn't want to take the time to finish a dragon costume."

Sofia chuckled. "Oh Amber! As a Knight to be learning this skill is essential stirrup straps can fall off your saddle if you don't know how to sew them back on you would have to ride stirrup-less like trick riders do and that requires tons of balance see you in the morning. Good night, Amber."

"JAMES!" exclaimed Sofia. "James, where did he run off to now?"

She wasn't looking where she was walking and bumped into her Mom.

"Easy there, Sofia, daughter keep your eyes looking ahead not at your feet."

"Mom? Oh gosh, I am so so sorry, please, please forgive me." Sofia begs immediately.

"Of course, I always forgive my daughters." said Miranda picking Sofia up and cuddling closely with her before setting her back on the ground.

"Mom, where is James?" asked Sofia.

"He went to Cedric to talk to him about a weird memory he was having trouble piecing together what is going on. You're probably be able to find in the Sorcerery Workshop just be quiet Cedric's probably already doing his magic to help him."

Sofia came and stood at the door and she could see the mystical magic sparking all around her.

"Well, James did you see anything at all?" questioned Cedric.

"Nope, just shadow and blackness." James moaned. "Sofia?!"

"What's going on Cedric your magic has always helped me with memories that I have forgotten." Sofia remarked.

"Yes, but you lived those memories James here it looks like he has slipped into an alternate memory world the brain has chosen to treat this a nightmare more than a dream type situation the hypnosis ritual was supposed to draw James in so the memory wrapped around him. The kudzu was in both worlds but it doesn't appear to have a strong enough tie to this world to snap James back into the Memory he has lost. There is one other option Sofia."

"I know Memory Isle in the Mystical Isles."

Sofia's enchantlet on her arm glowed. She pressed it. "Chrysta what is up?"

"Whoa! Give me a second Sofia." Chrysta replies

"Are those hornets?" asked James. Chrysta dove into the water.

"They sure look like it." Sofia responded.

"Good I lost track of them for awhile, we need your help, Azurine's hurt, she needs anti venom fast. Prisma's looking after her she said the hornets were brought a long by a Terror crystal. She thinks she has an idea about who did it, but to figure that hunch out is right now you'd have to be an undercover Crystalmaker. Come as soon as you can. I have to help my fairies get rid of this hornet mess Sofia. I am leaving the real deal mission up to you. I trust you can handle this sort of thing. "Well, James you get to come with me to the Mystic Isles this time. You better go get your helmet and I need to change and call Skye and other unicorn at once.
