Uraume prepared his Kiseru as every day to read in front of the entrance of the garden of his temple, before he used to read in his room where he can let the smell of the Kiseru stay longer but everything changed after one of his typical trips where he razed a village as usual, but this time he came back with something else or rather someone else.

"Suku, Uraume added some peach incense to the mix today" a kind voice speaks very confidently to the king of curses and makes him raise his head from the scroll he is studying to look at it.

A little boy of maybe 5 or 6 years old is hugging a white ball while looking at the king, he has delicate features as expected of children who have not had to work to eat, dressed in a kimono of excellent quality fabric and the same color as the one used by the king, he is in the garden being illuminated by the sun making his pink hair create a halo giving him an air of being celestial.

" Yuuji, come " Sukuna speaks while he sees what his little protégé will do, but it is Yuuji, he always obeys what his beloved protector curse said and just as Sukuna thought the little one approached very carefully to where the king was.

Sukuna doesn't say anything just lifts the little one and sits him on his lap, his upper hands unfold the scroll while the lower ones are busy with the little one, one caresses Yuuji's peach hair and the other gently holds the little one by the waist in a protective way.

" Suku? " Yuuji's sweet voice speaks after a few minutes of silence, despite not seeing anything by instinct the little one raises his face to where he thought the face of the curse would be.

" Yes, Yuuji? " the curse asks observing the face of his little human, Yuuji's eyes can't see anything but they perfectly reflect the little one's emotions.

"I want to learn to play, I want to help Suku, even if it's just to fill the silence when he reads" the little boy speaks while he puts his little hands together to beg, always wishing he could do something for the curse that received him in his temple after being thrown into it as a sacrifice because of his blindness.

"You know you don't have to do that to stay in the Yuuji temple but if you still wish to do it, Choso" Sukuna speaks while caressing the face of his protégé and invoked the guardian and self-appointed older brother of the little human.

"Yes, Sukuna sama?" From the shadows a young black-haired, bored-looking and even somewhat sickly young man kneels before his master and waits for the order to be carried out.

"Go to the nearest village you can find where they sell instruments, buy them all and make sure they are resistant and of good quality" Sukuna speaks while he reads the scroll again and uses an upper hand to serve tea that he delivers to the small human who accepts with a big smile.

The hours pass smoothly and Choso arrives dragging a cart with several instruments of the Chinese court, others that Sukuna has seen the monks use when passing discreetly through roads to some village, as well as some used in the pleasure houses by the ladies who entertained the travelers while they waited.

"They were all offered to me besides bringing some sweets to Yuuji" Choso speaks calmly looking at the little human who is sleeping happily using Sukuna's big upper arms as a bed.

"Uraume" Sukuna calls his faithful follower to whom he must not say anything to start carrying the instruments to Yuuji's room to arrange them so that the child can play them as soon as he wakes up and choose which one feels more comfortable in his little hands.

Sukuna leaves his protégé in his bed after Uraume has finished placing the instruments and retires to his rooms to continue reading, as expected by his efficiency Uraume left a new Kiseru with the same mixture and a parchment to write all the information of the new curses that came to the temple that had conscience.

Sukuna does not know how much time passed until he hears quick steps but without running from the hallway and without knocking or anything the fusama of his room is opened by an excited Yuuji with a shamisen in his little hands and one of the sorcerers who serve Sukuna, Nanami Kento to specify, behind the small but staying in the frame without entering.

"With the permission of Sukuna sama the young Itadori wants to show his gratitude by playing something" Nanami answers while adjusting his glasses before bowing to his master.

"Good, retire Nanami" Sukuna replies watching the wizard bow again and close the fusama, now in privacy Sukuna can see his protégé almost bouncing with excitement, no doubt Yuuji is an overly energetic child.

"Nanamin only taught me the scales but I wanted to show Suku as a thank you" the little one speaks excitedly as he approaches and kneels where the big curse is, knowing where it is, is easy by looking where the smell of tobacco and peach is strongest.

"Well, you can play for me Yuuji but only for a while and then you will return with Nanami to continue practicing" Sukuna speaks while he takes a puff to his kiseru and expels the air, puts a zabuton and indicates to the little one where he is so he can sit properly.

After Yuuji settled his little hands held the shamisen correctly and gently passed the bachi smoothly through the strings, as Nanami said the little one only knew the scale, it was basic and only started from the lowest note and went up to the higher ones to go back down.

Sukuna just closed his eyes and focused on smoking with the sound of the scale in the background, it was not the most pleasant music and he would easily lose his patience if someone else played it and most likely die in his hands, but the interpreter was Yuuji, his sweet being of light could spend all day listening to the annoying scales until the little one got tired or stopped him from hurting his fingers.

For half an hour from Sukuna's rooms a scale was heard and scattered applause every now and then as well as childish laughter.
