Days have passed with Yuuji practicing with the Shamisen with cursed energy strings, the horrible noises were slowly being replaced by more normal ones but even with that his progress was undoubtedly behind the other 2 children.

It was now well into the night and the little boy was still playing in the rooms he shares with his father, Toji and the other 2 children, playing very softly so as not to generate noise, he needed to be able to match them so he could protect everyone in this temple, this was his home, his family.

He takes the instrument from his son's hands and takes him in his arms, Toji, Nobora and Megumi are watching the scene, Jin stands up and walks out of the rooms, he must not say anything for the trio to follow him.

Jin carrying his little one walks through the sanctuary to the exit, he greets Choso while he continues towards his destination, the group walks silently until they reach a tree, Jin sits down and rests his back on its trunk, Toji stands next to him, Nobora and Megumi sit on his lap since Jin's is occupied by Yuuji.

"How are Toji's steps?" Jin asks as he runs his fingers through his son's hair gently as a soothing caress, the trio looks at him strangely for the question.

"When he is alone they are loud, abrupt and even annoying, when he trains they are certain and fixed, only sounded when he plays but when he is with you they are fearful, as if making too much noise will hurt you or something, it's the same with us, sure but afraid of hurting us" answers the younger pelirosa softly without understanding either.

"What about Nobara's?"

"Noisy always wanting to get attention but if he knows something is going on he doesn't hesitate to run to help, he also takes great care to be gentle like those of any lady.

Jin continues with his caresses looking amused at his 3 companions trying to decipher what he is doing.

"Megumi?"

"They are similar to Toji's but different, annoyed sometimes to follow mine and Nobora's footsteps."

"What about the curses, how are their steps?"

"Uraume no matter who it is stays behind that person, Choso are kind of boring and I can't say much about any other curses, some don't even walk."

"You didn't include Sukuna sama."

"Because Sukuna sama is Sukuna sama."

Jin let out a chuckle, the children certainly had a very interesting logic for what the world is like and how to live in it.

"Good, now lastly then tell me what their steps are like."

"As you know I set the task for Sukuna sama to receive my blessing for his wedding but this was not only for your protection there is another reason Yuuji" Jin starts while his caresses on the cheeks of the little pelirosa continued "and that is that it doesn't matter if you stop, if you keep going, the pace you have is right, you don't have to match the others Yuuji, go as you want, because you will go far at your pace, you don't need to go faster and no matter what, you have us, even if you go as a snail, we love you, you should never forget that"

While Jin was giving that kind of mini speech the trio came closer, toji put his arms around Jin and stretched one of his hands to caress Yuuji's head, everyone knows that no matter how much Yuuji receives love and affection a part of him will always feel like a burden to everyone around him.

"You don't have to worry if you don't reach Nobora or Megumi if you just use a correct technique it will be enough, I know it doesn't make sense this I'll say for you, but.... Look where you are, look where you started, the fact that you are alive is a miracle(*)" Jin speaks softly while he kisses his forehead, Toji messes up his hair, Nobora and Megumi embrace him.

Yuuji who can't see anything only feels the warmth around him, he recognizes the calloused hand of Toji messing his hair with affection, the warm arms of his two friends and the caresses of his father make him forget the voices of memories that sometimes flood his head, the comments of the people of his village when he passed by his father or grandfather sound like horrible echoes when the little one least expects it but in these moments, surrounded by the people he loves, there are no voices in the background that insult him.

Without the group noticing they are observed by two figures, Sukuna and Uraume are watching, a special curse allows them to hear everything without getting too close to the group.

"Sukuna sama, shall we tell him? That there is a way to let Yuuji see" Uraume asks looking towards where the group is.
