If someone told Toji when the year began that he would end up caring for a noisy brat and the kindest man on earth together with his son and stop hating the departure of his beloved, Toji would no doubt laugh in that person's face and then kill him.
But here he was, in an almost rotten house with Megumi, Nobora and Jin on his way to the last one's hometown in search of his son, then they would return to the one Toji called home with his beloved and the 5 of them would live together apparently.
But life is a bitch and it's proving it right now.
"That worm, no, that's the vessel of stellar substance, that's a powerful curse you have there for not being a warlock" the voice of the creature resounds cold and cruel, the wand in one of its 4 arms Toji could stop it and avoid Jin's death but now 3 problems remain and Toji is too tired and hung over for all this shit.
Still holding the arm with the Varja Toji is about to pull one of his multiple weapons out of the jar and is ready to attack when he sees it, a monk, no, a monk looking curse has stepped forward and is going for Jin who moved away to put the kids safe, Toji drops the curse and runs for the other one, but the damn curses are fucking fast and in the blink of an eye the monk holds Jin and the monster summoned a naginato ready to slice Jin's head off.
"You will die, you are a scum and I should give you a more painful death instead of this act of mercy, but Yuuji wouldn't let me do that to the father he loved so much" Sukuna speaks coldly, any other person would be terrified but the words said by the curse make Jin stand up and look at Sukuna in astonishment.
"Yuuji, do you know Yuuji, is he ok, is he with my father?!" Jin starts to ask while holding Sukuna's kimono to get his attention, the devotion, love and desire to know about his son floods his gaze confusing Sukuna.
"What the fuck are you talking about bastard?" Sukuna says in a growl looking at Jin with pure hatred.
"I... I haven't been able to communicate with my family, I was assaulted and injured leaving me on the side thinking I would die, if it wasn't for Nobora for sure that would have happened" Jin speaks and that's when Sukuna notices him better.
Jin is pale like Yuuji but even so his pallor is a little less healthy than it should be, from the slightly open yukuta Sukuna can notice bandages with slight traces of blood on them.
"Yuuji mentioned that you were traveling for your job" Sukuna comments, he doesn't fully believe him the man may be lying to protect his pathetic life.
"I was able to learn to read and write, this allowed me to become a scribe and get jobs for minor nobles, this also caused me to travel a lot leaving Yuuji in my father's care" Jin answers honestly, at this moment he knows he must because before him stands a man he had only written about in his works.
Ryoumen Sukuna, the so-called king of curses wanted his head for believing that he abandoned his son and that both strangles and fascinates Jin. Wasn't this curse known for hating all mankind? Why did he know and seem to hold Yuuji, his little tiger cub, in high esteem?
"He's not lying, Jin was hurt! Someone hurt him and left him alone, your anger should be for them!" a feminine but childish voice echoed in the small silence that followed after the explanation of the man with bandages and Sukuna with her lower eyes saw the little girl who had her nails and hammer with cursed energy ready to be used.
Before the situation could fall to the death of the youngest Toji has placed himself in front of the trio (the child has not said a word yet) and from the pot he has taken out one of his many weapons.
"Jin answered your question and I think the polite thing to do would be to answer us, lord curse king" Toji speaks looking defiantly at Sukuna, as his weapon rests on the curse's neck.
