''How long before they arrive?'' asked Tachihara. ''I dunno, maybe ten minutes later.'' Sitting beside Tachihara was Chuuya, one of the executives of the Port Mafia. ''I'm gonna order another vodka, do you want anything?''
Tachihara looked at Chuuya, who was obviously not paying attention to him. ''Hey!'' Neglected little Tachihara slapped on Chuuya's shoulder, snapping the ginger head out of his thoughts.
Chuuya finally tore his gaze away from what he was staring at, or to say, whom. ''What?'' he exclaimed softly with a frown. ''Bro what are you staring at?'' He turned to look at the direction Chuuya had been looking at. ''Oh, is it that cute little brunette who's dancing there?'' They were at a bar, full of people. Hyped music, dancing people, the whole place was dimly illuminated by blue lights.
Chuuya looked back, now at the same direction Tachihara was looking at. He scanned through the dancing crowd and spotted a pretty brunette dancing with sexy clothes on. ''Yeah, a brunette, but not that one.'' Then he continued staring again.
Confused, Tachihara stood up and went behind Chuuya, positioning his head above the ginger head's shoulder. ''Ohhh...'' He found the one Chuuya was staring at. ''The bartender?'' he asked, turning to look at Chuuya, whom turned away immediately, saying, ''N--no.'' Tachihara paused, reading Chuuya's looks. ''I'm juz saying bro, your face is the traitor, juz saying.''
''Urghh...'' Chuuya turned back. Their table was at the corner of the noisy bar, across them was the bar counter not far away with the dancing crowd in between.
Tachihara sat back down. ''So you were staring at that brunet, huhh...'' Chuuya shot him a sharp glance. ''What? You got a problem with that?!'' he said as he balled up his fist at his friend.
''I'mma order another vodka,'' said Tachihara. Chuuya looked at him walking to the counter.
''Vodka please,'' Tachihara said to the bartender, a brunet whose eyes were hazel in colour. While the bartender made his drink, Tachihara kept on staring at him, then he asked, ''What's your name?'' Putting his drink on the counter before him, the bartender spoke with a smile, ''Dazai.'' Tachihara froze for a moment.
Damn...
Looking from afar, Chuuya looked at Tachihara talking to Dazai, then walking back to him. ''Damn bro! Damnnnn!!'' Tachihara exclaimed softly. ''Yo he's cute, I ain't lying.'' ''Yeah I know.'' Tachihara took a sip of his drink, then said, ''His name is Dazai.'' Chuuya paused for a second before saying, ''Wait you asked him?''
Tachihara nodded, ''Yeah, and his voice is... I dunno how to put it in words, juz damnn. You gonna make him your boyfriend or nah? Cuz if you're not, I'mma gonna ask him out right now.'' He looked at Chuuya, whom shot him another glance. ''Don't.''
Then a gang of four walked into the bar, the one walking in front of the others seemed to be the leader, a middle-aged man with his hair tied up in a short ponytail.
Chuuya saw them and patted on Tachihara's shoulders. ''They're here.'' Standing up, the both of them straightened their clothes a little before walking to the men whom had just come in. ''Hiraki-san, nice to meet you. I'm Nakahara Chuuya, executive of the Port Mafia, and this is Tachihara Michizou, my most trusted subordinate.''
''Nice to meet you, Hiraki-san,'' said Tachihara as he bowed a little. Hiraki laughed before gesturing for them to go to a room, saying, ''Pleasure meeting you, let's talk about our business in a room shall we?'' Chuuya nodded and followed Hiraki towards the room, then said to Tachihara, ''Guard the door, don't let anyone come in except for the staffs.''
''Beers please,'' said Hiraki as he passed by the counter while heading to the room. Chuuya went into the room with Hiraki and his subordinates. ''So, how does the Port Mafia plan to invest in our firearms?''
Tachihara stood outside the room, then someone approached him with a bucket of beers in his hands. Without saying a word, Tachihara let the person in, because it was the bartender, Dazai.
''... that property.'' The discussion continued as the door of the room was opened. Dazai walked in and put down the bucket. He knelt down while taking some of the beer bottles out of the bucket filled with ice.
''Hmm...'' When Hiraki laid his eyes on Dazai, he stood up and started to approach the brunet, whom was opening one of the bottles and pouring beer into glasses.
With his work done, Dazai stood up to leave, only to be shocked by Hiraki, whom stood closely in front of him, his tongue licking the corner of his own lips. The middle-aged man reached out his hand, and landed it on Dazai's waist. At the moment he touched him, the brunet flinched and backed away.
On the seats, Chuuya had been watching them, he saw Hiraki's hand approaching Dazai again when he suddenly interrupted, ''Hiraki-san, I think we'll need to contact the company before next Monday.''
Hiraki's hand stopped abruptly, almost touching the brunet the second time. ''Right, yeah you're right,'' he said as he finally walked away from Dazai and sat back down.
All along, Chuuya had been glaring at Hiraki when he was harrassing Dazai, but Hiraki failed to notice it.
Free from Hiraki's harrassment, Dazai turned back around to face them and bowed. Chuuya nodded at him with a smile, and Dazai smiled back at him, probably to thank him for helping him out just now.
Shit, he's cute.
Business was over, and Hiraki had left. Most of the people at the bar had gone home. ''So how was it?'' Tachihara followed behind Chuuya. ''Nailed it,'' Chuuya replied. Tired after standing for hours, Tachihara flopped onto a seat and looked around, then gestured for Chuuya to sit down. ''Can you help me order a glass of vodka?'' he said in a lazy tone. ''Haven't you had enough vodka today?'' Tachihara shook his head.
It was the first time Tachihara had been here, but Chuuya had been here for quite a few times already. Ever since the first time he had been here, Chuuya had been attracted to the brunet.
Wearing a white dress shirt behind a black vest, Dazai looked outstanding, different from any other bartenders that Chuuya had ever seen. But he didn't seem to be the type who used to chat with the customers, he looked soft and gentle, probably a little shy.
Chuuya knew that, because every single time he came to this bar, he would sit at the table at the corner, where he could get a good look at the counter. The tables at the corner of the bar was set on a higher area of ground, people had to walk up a short slope to the table, that was why Chuuya could see the bartender from where he sat at despite the dancing crowd.
Chuuya walked to the counter and said, ''Vodka please.'' Dazai looked at him and smiled. He then made the drink for Chuuya. ''Thank you,'' he said as he put the glass of alcohol on the countertop. It took Chuuya a few moments to realize what he was refering to.
''Nah it's no problem.'' He took the drink and said, ''By the way, why were you the one to bring the beers to us, wasn't it supposed to be a waiter or waitress doing that?'' He started to have a little chat with the brunet.
''The waitress has just resigned this morning, so there wasn't anyone to help out,'' Dazai said as he wiped some glasses dry, he was the only staff working today. ''I see...'' Chuuya responded as he turned around to walk back to Tachihara, whom was staring at his interactions with Dazai.
Then he turned back around and said, ''Dazai.'' Dazai looked a little shocked hearing that. ''Oh, yeah the one who asked for your name was my friend, so... Anyways, are you okay?''
Dazai looked at him for a while, then nodded. ''Yeah, I'm fine,'' he said with a soft smile, as if no one else had ever been this nice to him. Nodding with a smile, Chuuya walked back to Tachihara with the drink. ''What'd you say?'' Tachihara sounded nosy. ''Nothing, I juz asked if he's okay.''
''What? Why?'' Chuuya sighed and said, ''Hiraki harrassed him back there.'' Tachihara immediately gave him a disgusted look before drinking up his glass of vodka. ''I'mma leave now, see ya.'' ''See ya.'' With that, Tachihara left, and Chuuya suddenly realized that he was left alone in the bar with Dazai.
