"(y/n), why aren't we allowed to go outside?" Klee asks, tugging the hem of your shirt as both of you stare at the barrier, so close, but still feeling so far away. You look down at the kid who was adorably staring at you, eyes filled with curiosity but also... fear.

"Lady Alice set up that barrier to protect us so, apparently, if we step outside, it would break." You say, patting her head as you smile innocently. It definitely isn't a topic for kids but, if you hadn't answered at least one of her questions then, she'll make sure she'll find out by herself.

"But how come Ms. Lisa and other soldiers can get out?" Klee continues to ask, her eyes glancing back and forth at the many soldiers walking in and out of the barrier.

"I... don't know. Anyway, we shouldn't be thinking about it. Come on, let's play." You tell her, wanting her to drop the topic cause even you don't know the answer to that question. She simply smiles happily, seemingly forgetting all about it.

They felt so... fake that you couldn't even feel pity on them when they fall over.

But, you definitely won't know the answer to your thoughts or theories since the elder witches, Mondstadt people, and higher-beings are clearly hiding a lot from you. Asking them would just get you lectured for hours and, you certainly don't want to spend time on that so, there was really no point.

You sigh, your head slightly hurting from all this thinking as Klee continued to fight the hilichurls. Even though they outnumbered her, she easily defeats them one by one. You can't help but smile and think that maybe she really isn't a kid. Well, she obviously can fight better than you, that's for sure.

Suddenly, a dark shadow appears below her, increasing in size rapidly, almost as if something big was falling on top of her. You squint your eyes, not knowing exactly what this is until,
