We walk into the Hospital and walk towards the front desk to check in to see her mom.

"Hey, I'm Melody Wade. My mom is in room 32D. We're here to see her"

"And who's he in relation to you and your mom?" The nurse asks

I look at Melody. Both of us know only family can visit.

"He's my fiancé, Niall Horan." Melody says quickly

The nurse nods, writing both of our names on little stickers, then she hands them to us. They say "VISITOR: NIALL WHORIN" and "VISITOR: MELODY WADE"

Mel snickers because my name is misspelled. I gently slap her arm and we set off to go to her mom's room. We reach it and I take a deep breath before opening the door, letting Melody go ahead of me then following her.

Her mom is awake, and bursts into tears when she sees me.

"Niall, baby!" She cries. I walk over and take her hand.

"Hi, mum" I greet, "How're you feeling today?"

"So much better now that you're here. Did you get in today?"

"No.. I got in yesterday. We would've been in here but I took her out.." I say, motioning to Melody

"You're such a good boy to her. Thank you so much for taking care of her."

"Of course. You know how much she means to me"

After a little while of talking, Melody excuses herself to go to the vending machines.

I watched her leave with a small smile on my face. She's just so pretty and doesn't know it.

"You love her?"

I snap my head back and look at her mom.

"Wh-what?" I ask stupidly

"Do you love her? Just... forgive me if I'm wrong... but the way you look at her, take care of her, talk about her... it's just different." She tells me with a small smile

"I... You can't tell her" I rush out

"Honey. I'm her mom. I don't have to tell her anything."

I smile a little and nod.

"She means the whole world to me" I admit

"You mean the same to her, Niall. I can see it. She looks at you the same way you know you look at her" She promises

"Like the world has stopped spinning" I mumble

"Exactly"
