I woke up groggily and got dressed. I was still a little cranky when I went downstairs. I realized no one was awake so I crept into the kitchen and got a bowl and some cereal. I poured the Fruity Pebbles into my bowl and poured in the milk. I put everything away and sat down and ate. I finsihed and put my bowl in the sink. "Michelle?" a small voice asked from the door. "Yeah, Mariah?" I replied to my nine year old sister. "Can you get me some Lucky Charms?" she asked. I nodded and reached up and grabbed the cereal and poured it into a bowl for her. I placed the bowl in front of her and she ate quietly. After she had put the bowl into the sink, she said "Oh, and Happy Birthday." I almost forgot that it was my birthday. I ran back upstairs and burst into the room next to mine. "Mya! Mya wake up! It's our birthday!" I said shaking my twin sister. It took her a minute then she squealed and jumped out of bed. "What's all the shouting about?" I heard my mom say and I spun around. "It's our birthday!" I said running up and hugging my mom. "Is Dad awake yet?" I asked, looking up. "No, not yet. Why?" she replied and I turned towards Mya. Mischievous grins spread across our faces. It was time for birthday tradition. We crept into our parents room and got on the bed and stood up. Then jumped up and down and shouted in perfect harmony, "DADDY WAKE UP! IT'S OUR BIRTHDAY!" Dad shot up in bed and smiled. Then he put on his fake angry face and said in a deep voice, "You girls woke up the tickle monster!!! How DARE you!" Mya and I screamed and wiggled away but he grabbed us both and started tickling us. We burst out laughing until he stopped and we were breathing hard. "Happy Birthday, monsters." Dad said, ruffling our hair. We laughed and then all of us went downstairs. "How old are you girls now? Fifty-two?" Dad asked and we laughed again. "No silly. We're twelve!" Mya and I said simultaniously. It was amazingly creepy how we said stuff at the same time. Mya, Mom and Dad went into the kitchen but Mariah and I went back to our rooms and got on shorts and a tank top. We ran down the stairs and out the door. We raced to the shed to get our mats. I let her win and I grabbed my neon green mat. I layed it out on the front lawn and sat down on it. I stretched my long legs and then my arms. I did cartwheels and then said to Mariah, "Wanna go on the trampoline?" she nodded and we ran to the house. "Mom? Can we go on the trampoline?" I asked, looking for Mom. "Sure, just make sure the net is zipped shut." she answered. "Wait for me!" Mya called from upstairs. "You have to stretch first!" I called up the stairs and laughed. She groaned, which made me laugh harder. Mariah and I quickly put away our mats as Mya got her neon orange one. We got on the trampoline and zipped the net shut. I jumped and touched my feet to my hands and did flips. "Stop jumping! I'm coming in!" Mya called from the other side of the net. "Okay!" I said and Mariah and I paused. Mya unzipped the tent and got in, zipping it back up behind her. We then told Mariah to sit down and we played popcorn. We eventually got tired and went back inside for lunch. I ate my salami and cheese sandwich and got a cup of iced tea. I felt exhausted from jumping so long, but that didn't stop me from going out to ride my bike down our path and to our secret road. Only Mom, Dad, Mariah, Mya and I knew about our secret road. It was deserted, and when you got far enough down, there was a guardrail with a lake on the other side of the hill. It was a nice road, and it gave us space with no cars being on it. "I'm going to go bike riding on the secret road." I called as I walked toward the door. I ran out and got my bike. I went behind the house, down the path we made, and onto the secret road. I rode in circles for a second then went down then back up and down again. I kept riding until Mya came and got me. I rode home and returned my bike to the shed. I walked into our house and was greeted by "Suprise!" Mya and I giggled and said "Thank you." as we walked through the small crowd of relatives and friends. Three pizza boxes were on the table and Mya and I opened them. I took a slice of pepperonie, my favorite. Mya got her favorite, sausage and peppers. Mariah also got her favorite, plain. We, along with the crowd of people, finished eating and Dad brought out two cakes. One said "Happy 12th Birthday Mya!" and the other said "Happy 12th Birthday Michelle!" Mya and I smiled widely, showing our bright, white teeth. The crowd sang Happy Birthday in a perfect chorus and Mya and I made a wish and counted to three. "One. Two. Three!" we said and blew out all the candles in one blow. We all had cake and spent the rest of the night talking and laughing. It wasn't long until we got to open presents. I got almost all the things i wanted, and so did Mya. I would use them, or play with them tomorrow. Then it was time for 'Goodbyes' and Thank Yous'. Mya, Mariah and I walked up stairs and went to bed. Before bed, I put all the presents I got into a corner of my room. I fell asleep fast, and my mind took me threw a number of dreams. Most that I probably wouldn't remeber when I wake up.
