Katerina's P.O.V

Everyone tells me that the gel they put on your stomach before the baby scan is cold but holy shit this stuff is freezing.

"Can I try?" Enzo asks looking intrigued at the cool liquid while I hiss at the cold gel on my bell. I look at Enzo in pure fear that I need to at one point, call the mental home.

Even Antonio looks at him with the eyes of 'he's mad'

"You can if you would like to?" The woman doctor says while pushing the scanner over my stomach. I try to relax while she takes my week 9 scan. She smiles while looking at the screen, which tells me is a good sign.

"Looks okay, still very small, but I'd say that's because of it being only 9-10 weeks" the doctor lets me know her reassuring smile tells me that the baby is at least healthy.

She turns the monitor round and Enzo starts squealing at his new god son or daughter. Of course he would be the child's god father.

I glance at the moving screen, the baby barely a child but the doctor still points out certain body parts like it's fully grown.

I felt the joy erupt into my heart, the feeling of the dream, a family, a home and everything in between. My life has suddenly become perfect so quickly.

The woman stops the scan and adds that she will be back with the photo of the baby. When she left Enzo lifts his top to reveal his stomach squirting the gel on his skin.

"FUCK THAT IS COLD!" He screams grabbing the tissue that I am about to use to wipe my stomach but instead he wipes his own.

Antonio shakes his head at his boyfriend?, lover?, partner? Anyways. He looks disappointed non the less. I start to laugh, wiping my stomach with another piece of tissue and hope down the table covering my stomach back over with my top.

The doctor comes back and gives me the picture and we all thank her before leaving.

"What did you do to Anya?" Antonio asks me when we are alone in the living room, I take a seat and place the baby photo on the coffee table admiring it, ordering the maids to make us tea.

"I did what I had to" I say to him leaning my head against the back of the sofa, stroking my stomach.

The maids come in and give us our drinks, Antonio looks at me with a dissatisfied look. I roll my eyes at my brother.

"You do know I was on the run for the past 5 years I know how to protect myself" I let him know sipping my tea.

"Yes but you aren't anymore!" Antonio tries to explain but I don't listen to him.

Im more experienced then he will ever be, I've been out in the towns finding money so I can just to sleep in the car for one nice. It wasn't the best life and now I have a full life.
