"Hey, doll." Diluc rasped as you answered the phone for one of your daily phone calls since the two of you don't see each othe as much as you'd like to.
"Hey, D." you said sweetly, making Diluc smile at the sound of your voice as he always did.
"Are you still coming today?" you asked, putting your new middle part buss down, which was the hairstyle that Diluc picked out for you into a clip, but the silence told you that you were getting the answer you dreaded.
He hated it just as much, if not more than you, the fact that he doesn't see you often, and telling you no after you got your hopes up just made it worse for him.
"Listen-" he started to explain himself but you cut him off, "I knew it."
"Doll-" he tried again but you did the same again, "I don't know why I got my hopes up."
"I'll be there before you know it." you wanted to believe him so bad but you just felt like it was another empty promise.
"I miss you so much, Diluc." you said honestly, it'd probably been a couple of months since you last saw him, "I miss you more, you wouldn't even know."
"Yeah..." you trailed off, trying not to focus on the fact that he wasn't coming, "Well, I'm going out."
"With Lae, right?" he asked, of course it was Lae, she's your closest friend and always there when Diluc isn't, "Yeah."
"Okay, be safe," he said in the most genuine tone, he never really tripped about you going out, he respected your space as well as you did his.
"I'll there soon, doll."
"Okay, bye." you almost hung up but his voice caught you before you could, "What'd I tell you about that?" his voice more stern when he asked.
"See you later." you said with a small smile on your face, he always corrected you whenever you said bye, you didn't know why though, maybe it's because bye felt like he'd never see you, "Mhm, better."
The music was blasting through the house as you got ready, Every Freakin Day to Pull Up played loudly on your TV while you took your shower, got dressed, pressed your hair, put on mascara, and everything else.
"Hey, doll." you heard as you walked into the kitchen trying to find something to eat before going out, even though Lae would have food at her party as she always does.
"Hey, D." you said, you were so focused that it didn't dawn on you that he was sitting on the couch with his legs spread wide open as he palmed hisself through his pants at the sight of you, taking in your curvy body in the slightly baggy but fitted jeans you had on and his other resting on the arm of the couch.
"Took you long enough." he said when you ran over to him and hopped into his lap while burying your head in the crook of his neck.
You missed everything about him and he was the same way about you. He gripped your ass roughly as you finally sat down onto his lap, arms still tightly around his neck as he kissed you gently on the side of your face.
"I missed you so much." he said as he planted the softest kisses on your lips, multiple times at that.
"I did too." you smiled at him, as his eyes bored intensely into your own, "But earlier you said-"
"I know, I know and I'm-" he started but he couldn't finish his sentence as he scanned your body once you sat up from him, "Hm."
"What?" you asked, looking down at your body all the way to your white toes before locking eyes with Diluc as he did the same.
