I have never considered myself an uptight person. I think of myself as chill, relaxed, easygoing and if i'm being honest, out there. I have always told someone my point of view in a chill tone, so I don't come across rude or hoity-toity. Unless I was confessing my feelings for someone. I just couldn't bring myself to do that one thing. I have liked this guy Lukas since about 5th grade, and since then, my feelings for him had only grew more and more. My best friend Amara understood where I was coming from. There was someone she had liked for a really long time, but wouldn't tell me who it was and, me being me, I respected her decision and didn't push. She will tell me if/and when she is ready. Simple as that. One day, Amara and I were walking to the cafe that was right around the corner from where we go to school, and I was raving about how cute, and smart, and sophisticated Lukas was, not realizing we was walking right in front of us. What surprised me the most, was the fact that he turned around and was confused on who had said that. He said thank you to me but apologised since he didn't feel the same and left. My face was so red, I couldn't believe what had happened. "Oh my god. Not to be rude, but that was kinda funny. Are you alright?" Amara asked in her usual blunt slightly offensive tone. "Yea." I replied. "Just a little embarrassed. That's all. No biggie." "Oh. Okay.Well we're here. What kind of coffee do you want? I think i'm gonna go for the triple chocolate Caramel Mocha." I thought about what I usually get, but I decided to go for something different this time, you know? Broaden my horizons." I'll go for the Dragon-Grapefruit hydrater, with minimal ice, and little bits of strawberries inside." "M'kay. It's our turn to order." "Hi! What can I get you two beautiful ladies today?" An unnaturally hot barista asked us. "I'll have the triple chocolate mocha, with three shots of espresso, extra caramel, and as much whipped cream as the cup allows, and then a bit more on the top of the cup. Please." "M'kay! And you miss?" He asked with a smirk that give away a little bit to much information. "Uh, i'll have the dragon-Grapefruit hydrater. A-and can I please have little bits of strawberries in it?" "Yeah! that's fine. anything else?" "None for me. You Pen?" Amara asked. "Hmmm?" I asked gazing in the hot baristas eyes obviously. "I said do you want anything else?" Amara said snapping slightly to get my attention. "Oh uh yea. can I please have two things?" "Go ahead" he said. "Can I please have minimal ice in my hydrater? and your phone number by any chance?" "Uh yea. minimal ice, and my phone num-" He stopped mid-word and looked up at me with a flustered expression and said, "S-sure. On one condition." "Depends on what it is." I replied. "I get to text you first, and you have to come by once my shift is over. I'll text you after my shift is over." "Deal." I said. Once we got our drinks and were on our way to school before classes started, Amara asked me a bit to loudly "How could you do that so nonchalantly! I would have been a wreck stumbling over my words and give up halfway through my sentance. Teach me!" I chuckled to myself, and said "patience young grasshopper. In due time. But seriously though, it was harder than I thought it would be. I didn't even get to ask his name!" I said pouting. "Uh Pen? I thing that is taken care of for you. Look on your cup. The side closest to me." So, I did what any sane person would do, and turned around my cup. On the far left side written clear as day, there it was. The unimaginably hot baristas name. Noah.
